๐Ÿ”ฅ Firework season is almost upon us ๐Ÿ”ฅ

For lots of dogs fireworks are scary, the bangs, whirls and lights are cause for concern.

Some dogs are mildly affected and some are heart breakingly petrified ๐Ÿ’”

Every year, social media becomes flooded with anxious families begging for the fireworks to stop โ›”๏ธ

The truth is though.....

They aren't going to :-(

Personally I would love silent ones but right now my concern is how I CAN help all dogs this season!

That's why we are giving FREE access to our newly recorded Firework preparation webinar.

This webinar will help EVERY dog and familiy regardless of whether they:

๐Ÿ˜ญ Petrified of fireworks/thunder
๐Ÿ˜žMildly affected
๐Ÿค” A new pup/dog and it's unknown
๐Ÿ˜Š Currently showing no worries

You can access it here https://nosey-barker.ac-page.com/Fireworks-webinar

This is such great news.

Yesterday the Electric Collar Manufacturer's Association lost their appeal against DEFRA's proposed ban on shock collars.

Iโ€™ve had quite a lot of requests for the flower infographic to be used for educating new owners, which is fantastic.

Providing the infographic remains completely unaltered (and youโ€™re not profiting from its use) thatโ€™s absolutely ok!!!

So for anyone wanting to use the infographic for education, please use this version:

A great free body language course from my colleague Tori Ganino

โ€œMy dogโ€™s reaction came out of nowhere.โ€

I hear it all the timeโ€ฆ

โ€œHe was acting fine one minute and barking the next.โ€

โ€œIโ€™ve had dogs all of my life. I thought I knew what their body language was telling me.โ€

The reality is that your dog is giving you tons of warnings; you just don't know how to speak the language yet.

Itโ€™s like going to another country where you don't speak the language and trying to talk to the locals.

There are always subtle warning signs before a growl, bark, lunge, and bite.

Subtle signs as small as the flash of the whites in your dog's eyes, a flick of the tongue, or even a passing yawn - they are actually your dog's way of giving you a pretty big warning that he is stressed or uncomfortable.

They are warnings that something bigger might happen.

๐—ง๐—ฟ๐˜‚๐˜๐—ต ๐˜๐—ถ๐—บ๐—ฒ.

Many years ago, I was visiting a friend when a guest walked in with their dog, just as I was bending down to pick up a pretzel that I dropped on the floor.

I suddenly found myself in the position of having

He didnโ€™t growl before he grabbed me. He didnโ€™t bark. But I am sure that he gave me very subtle signs of the impending bite. He wanted that pretzel for himself.

I understood dog body language, I knew the signs to look for, but I was distracted - I didn't see them - I let my guard down.

He let go of my neck only to bite and release it two more times before he finally let me go.

I was at his mercy. He chose to let me live that day. I walked away (admittedly shaking) with bruising on my neck and two areas where the skin was slightly broken around my jugular.

The dog's owner was speechless. This had never happened before.

But it clearly illustrates that while you may think that your dog would never do such a thing, it can happen!

I have worked professionally with dogs for over 10 years, and I know how easy it can be to miss these warning signs, especially if you aren't sure what to look for.

I want you to be able to communicate effectively with your dog in the same language.

It is only then that you will see what he is saying, and you will no longer feel like you are talking to someone in a foreign country.

That is why I created this incredibly detailed and completely free course called "Deciphering Your Dog" with guided picture and video tutorials.

Follow the link and let me know which email you would like me to send you free instant access to the course.

How to prevent a barkfest!

Picture the scene, you are walking your dog and another dog on the other side of the road barks......

Maybe it startles you, it might even startle your dog?!

Perhaps your dog ignores them, yay! Amazing.....

Is your mind blown? ๐Ÿคช

Growing up we were told a waggy tail means a happy dog right?

Lots of our clients are upset and confused when their dog barks, growls or bites. They often say their dog was happy as he/she was wagging their tail.

Like everything the more study and research done the more we learn!

A waggy tail doesn't always mean a happy dog! But a tail is only part of the story.......

To really understand your puppy/dog it takes time, observation and patience.

If you do learn to understand your dogs communication you will enjoy the best friendship ever!

A fabulous free ebook by Tori Ganino from Calling All Dogs

A fabulous free ebook by Tori Ganino from Calling All Dogs

We know that Barking and Lunging Dogs are a NIGHTMARE.

So many dog owners have the same problem. Their dog is barking, lunging, and going crazy at the end of the leash at the sight of other dogs, or people, or theyโ€™re bopping around like theyโ€™re on a pogo stick, and you havenโ€™t even left the house!

Itโ€™s embarrassing being the owner on the end of the leash, desperately clinging on to the crazy dog for dear life. God knows what would happen if the leash snapped, and they got away; it doesnโ€™t bear even thinking about what they might doโ€ฆ

And itโ€™s SO frustrating!

Because at home, your dog is the sweetest, kindest cuddle bug youโ€™ve ever known, but thatโ€™s not the dog that other people see. And who knows what your neighbors must be thinkingโ€ฆ

Tori Ganino, CDBC, CPDT-KA, and full-member, was determined to find a way to deliver fast, kind and effective solutions to as many dog owners as possible โ€“ so she created this ebook Brain Busting Puzzles to Calm Your Canine for FREE.

Corn on the cob can be life threatening to dogs

We are advising anyone having a barbecue this summer to keep corn cobs and discarded kebab skewers away from inquisitive pets to avoid serious and potentially fatal injuries, after survey results showed that a quarter of companion animal vets had treated pets for injuries caused by barbecues last su...
