Attention cat owners! 🐱

From 10 June 2024 cats over 20 weeks old must be and registered on a compliant database 📆

By microchipping their cats, owners can increase the likelihood that they will be reunited with their beloved pet in the event that they go missing.

Some useful tips here to keep your cat entertained overnight instead of waking their staff 😺😺

wake us up early? 😴 It might be disruptive for us, but being active at dawn (and dusk) is completely normal behaviour for cats. 🐈

Many cats are also active at night time, another challenge for humans who are trying to sleep! Cats are programmed to be active at these times because this is when their prey is most active. 👁️️ A cat’s vision can adapt to low levels of light, so they are perfectly capable of catching their prey.
Though most cats will adapt to their owner’s routine, some quickly learn that they can wake their owner to get food or attention. This behaviour is then reinforced and repeated if successful! 😼️

Daily playtimes, providing small meals overnight using timed feeders and giving cats the opportunities to forage for food (e.g. scatter feeding or puzzle feeding) every day are a few ways to help provide mental stimulation and prevent those early wake up calls from your cat!
