Here is a beautiful tree python this video was sent to me by my friend Chris Applin who is currently in Indonesia. This is from the island of misool in the raja ampat region of Indonesia.
Answer to the previous post revealed!
The first Komodo dragons we encountered.
Here one of the guides explains to us the rules of the park
Rinca is a small island near Komodo and Flores island, East Nusa Tenggara, Indonesia, within the West Manggarai Regency. It is one of the three largest islands included in Komodo National Park.
Just because they have access to a water bowl doesn’t mean you can’t spoil them with your time.
What a blast we have had. The people of Indonesia are some of the friendliest I’ve ever met. The data I’ve collected will be invaluable to me as I progress with my green tree pythons. Thanks Indonesia, our trip was truly magical!
The animal market in Jakarta. How can anyone stop this? But they could say the same thing about battery farming. This was upsetting to see in person
So I wanted to see the animal market in Jakarta. This isn’t for the faint hearted and upset me seeing it. I think the iguanas, dogs and cats are for human consumption. The rest I’m unsure.
Open today 10.30am til 5.30pm. Here is a little tree frog. We are now in Jakarta and will shortly visit the animal market.

BOOM! The guides and locals all thought I was bonkers digging holes and checking thermometers every hour or so but when i finally hit the results from all my testing it’s a relief to say the least. From soil temps in Komodo - Batanta to sorong and everywhere in between. LUX and UVI readings in every jungle at different parts of the day makes it all worth while.
We was welcomed into the village with open arms which was such a fantastic feeling. In this video our guide Sam tells us a little about the village which was built in 2018 for the local people/tribe. My friend Dawid Pruchniewski cooked pancakes for us all from his grandmother’s recipe, which was a little emotional. Life is so simple here which was a breath of fresh air
Brown tree snake (Boiga irregularis)? The villagers who lived in the village caught this snake and came to our accommodation as I put the word out I wanted to see as many reptiles as possible. The locals usually kill snakes when they come across them. Paying the locals to find them puts out a message to protect rather than kill. This is my main mission when I go on my trips
Checkout this stunning Sorong locality green tree python. There were tiny parasites just under the surface of the snakes skin, this is common with chameleons and is sometimes caused by mosquitoes biting and injecting the parasite. Other parasites can be picked up by the snake consuming its food, especially frogs!
Me and my friend Dawid Pruchniewski watching and photographing a baby green tree python climb a tree.
Another tree frog located last night. This little guy was croaking away on a leaf. As soon as the sun goes down the jungle comes alive with frogs
