With a love for creativity, interior design, pet psychology & being in nature with my family. ๐ŸŒฟ

10 years ago I found my love for grooming after borrowing my grandads clippers and trimming my lovely girl Ruby on their garden table. That year i went on to study City & Guilds Level Three Dog Grooming, which i passed with distinction. When creating Tailor

ed Tails, I meticulously thought of every detail in order to create a calm, safe space for dogs where I hope they will thrive & most importantly enjoy their grooming experience with me. I aim to achieve this by building a trusting relationship. Creating minimal stress and tailoring a grooming package for each individuals needs. Just like us, every dog is unique with differing personalities and requirements, with ten years of experience behind me, i have gained an abundance of knowledge & many techniques to cater for all. I am based at my home in Cayton Village, my purposely built grooming studio enables me to offer a home from home environment, with snuggly snooze spots in every nook and cranny, access to a private, completely secure garden to enrich their senses & most importantly, a treat jar that's always fully stocked. ๐Ÿค

Bindi, Kayla & Oliver, the sweetest little souls!

I love grooming Bedlingtons, their breed trim is so unique & it's so fun to do! All breed trims have a purpose and the Bedlington Terrier is no different, they were originally bred to hunt & those tassels left on their ears is left to protect them from any unexpected wildlife that may try to latch on when they went diving in to holes!

We aren't quite there yet with a breed standard trim but I've added the shape needed in order for their coats to grow into a beautiful, Bedlington groom. ๐Ÿซถ๐Ÿป

I've loved giving the pups some extra tlc, the aloe facial has been a firm favourite with them and licking off their tasty nose and paw butter.. it's edible thankfully! ๐Ÿ˜†

These little blighters can cause havoc, especially if your dog is partial to running around in long grass. Their sharp pointed tips can burrow themselves into your dogs skin as though it were planting itself into soil, causing nasty wounds and worst case, making their way into your dogs blood stream.

I wanted to share the reality of what was left behind after plucking out several seeds between a lovely spaniels toes & ears, the holes between their toes show how close the seeds were to making their way completely inside their foot! ๐Ÿ˜ฒ
Spaniels particularly are prone to this due to their long ears & hairy paws.

You can help to avoid grass seeds by giving your dog a thorough groom after their walks, avoiding long grass & particularly checking between their toes and in/around their ears. Regular grooming at home & professionally will keep risks to a minimum, it's much easier to spot a grass seed on a maintained coat. ๐Ÿซถ โœ‚๏ธ
