We charge on a night per night basis, starting from the date of arrival until the date of departure. if you collect your pet before 11am on the day of departure you will only be charged for the evening before. If you collect between 3-4pm on the day of departure you will be charged for the additional night

Morning - 8:30am until 11am. Afternoons - 3pm until 4pm

We operate a 2 night minimum stay
Small breeds (up to cocker spaniel size) - £18.00 per dog per night
Large breeds - £20.00 per dog per night

Boarding Prices - Cats
We operate a 2 night minimum stay
All cats - £10.00 per cat per night

Drop of and collection rules:
8:30am-11am or 3pm-4pm
There will be strictly no admittance outside of these times as we need to focus on taking care of our guests needs. If you collect between 3-4pm on the day of departure you will be charged for the additional night

Additional charges for:
Medication administration - £1 per medication per day. Medication includes all prescribed and none prescribed medicines, treatments, and supplements
We require notification of any illness or injuries before arrival and we reserve the right to refuse admission if we
feel that it will be detrimental to your pet’s wellbeing or any of our other guests. Confirmation:
A text confirmation will be sent once received please check all details are correct and let us know within 48 hours
of any changes required. Please be aware that once confirmed these dates will be held and a space will be reserved for your pet(s). Drop off and collections:
At the time of booking, you will be asked to request an AM or PM drop off and collect. Due to the nature of the
business and for optimal turnarounds we need to know this to ensure the smooth flow of guest in and out. Once
your confirmation as been sent you must stick to these time slots (strictly). Last minute changes are possible
(subject to availability) if we are notified in advance. If you cannot collect personally at the time agreed, then it is
your responsibility to arrange for your pet to be collected. We
understand that you may want to collect your pet early or drop them off later than booked, but you will still be
required to pay for the full duration of the booking. Amendments:
Whilst we understand that circumstances may change and you may need to change the dates of your booking, we
will do our very best to accommodate this, however we cannot guarantee availability for the new dates. If the
amendment required is for a reduced number of nights, then you will still be required to pay for the number of
nights as per the original booking. If we cannot accommodate your new requirements and you wish to cancel, you
are within your rights to do so (loss of deposit applies) unless Cancellation is within 30 days of your arrival date, this will
incur a cancellation charge as per our cancellation policy. DEPOSITS
A deposit is required at the time of confirmation for all bookings over 2 night durations (see below for amounts). The remaining balance to be paid on collection or at the time of drop off (if you have arranged for a family member or friend to collect on your behalf).
2-night duration bookings will be payment in full at the time of booking. Deposits - paid by bank transfer. Final Balance - paid by cash, card

We ask for a non refundable/ transferable deposits of £20 per dog, £10 per cat to secure your booking
PLEASE NOTE: The deposit taken at the time of booking is purely to secure the booking. For our cancellation policy, please see below. CANCELLATION POLICY
All cancellations more than 30 days from arrival date will result in loss of deposit. (£20 per dog £10 per cat, taken at time of booking)
All cancellations 30 days or less from the arrival date will incur a cancellation charge of 50% of the WHOLE BOOKING VALUE
All cancellations 14 days or less from the arrival date will incur a cancellation charge of 100% of the WHOLE BOOKING VALUE
Failure to comply with our set terms and conditions will result in no further bookings being accepted

Payment terms:
Deposits at the time of confirmation. Remaining balance - on collection or at the time of drop off if you have arranged for a family member or friend to
collect on your behalf. Final Balance - paid by cash, card or Apple Pay. Vaccinations:
All Vaccinations must be up to date including kennel cough (dogs only), kennel cough must be administered at
least 14 days prior to arrival. Documentation must be provided in advance of any stay and resubmitted each
time they are updated (annually). We reserve the right to refuse entry of any pet(s) failing to meet the
vaccination requirements which are set by the licensing laws.
**We are not responsible for reminding you that your pets vaccines are due.**

Kennel Cough:
If your dog contracts kennel cough prior to arrival, then it will not be admitted into the kennels. Any dog that
has had it must have received treatment by a vet and clear of any coughing for 14 consecutive days. Whilst we
cannot police this we rely on your honesty and trust that you would not put any of our other guest’s welfare at
risk. The kennel cough vaccine whilst effective does not guarantee your dog will not contract the virus, it does however
lessen the severity. Cat Boxes and leads:
Cat boxes – Must be adequately sized, secure and clean. If we need to move your cat in an emergency, will your cat box keep your cat safe and secure? Leads/harnesses – all leads and harnesses must be in good useable condition and correctly fitted. Damaged or poor-quality leads and harnesses can put your dog’s safety at risk and will prevent us from walking your dog. We do not allow any form of prong collars. Treats and Toys:
We provide treats, however if you want to bring your own then you can do so but we do not allow any Rawhide or
bones. Provided with all bookings:

• Baskets and blankets
• Food (wet and dry)
• Treats
• Toys
• Exercise (lead and off lead)
• Secure play area
• Indoor kennel/cattery
• Outdoor kennel/cattery runs
• Heating (winter only)
• Radio
• Love, cuddles, and attention included free of charge

If your dog/cat is on a special diet (medical or otherwise) then we are happy to feed them this providing you supply it. Licence Number: AA37068

It’s that time again folks!! Our Christmas bundles have arrived. We are keeping it simple this year and just have one for the doggies and one for the moggies. We have 24 dog bundles - hatchwells advent calendar, chocolate selection box, animate squeaky Xmas pudding and Xmas chomping chews (£10) and we have 12 cat bundles - Hatchwells advent calendar and 2 packs of Xmas tasty sticks (£5)
Payment via bank transfer or cash on collection ( we do request all bundles are collected ASAP)

RIP to our very own beautiful little girl Evie.
You came to us at around 6 years old, you’d been a mama before that but retired to us. You lost your sight quite quickly but adapted beautifully. Your hearing followed over the years and we got almost 10 wonderful years with you. Almost 16 is a cracking innings. The gentlest of souls you will be missed. Dementia took you in the end but we didn’t let it beat you. Run free sweetheart and find your sister Pebbles over the rainbow bridge 💔💔💔🐾🐾

Well, we had a lovely January off, had a little time to relax but we did get some jobs ticked off the list as well.
We passed our canine health and first aid and feline health and first aid qualifications so you can be reassured your family members are in good hands. Feel free to have a look at our certificates that we’ve put up in reception
We’ve also started refurbing our large dog, family sharing kennels, all re- boarded out, fresh coat of paint and installed new, thermostatically controlled infra- red heating panels. These panels will not only keep the pooches nice and warm, they are proven to be a healthier, more efficient way to heat the room.
We will continue to work our way through the rest of kennels in due course
Always learning. Always improving!!

We have finally completed our reception area renovation. It’s been a bit of a slog with the building, painting, paving and demolishing the old one but we’ve got there.
We’ve filled it with lots of webbox goodies for your dogs and mogs so feel free to have a browse and earn some brownie points with your furry family member by treating them on pick up 😀😀🐶🐈🐾🐾

Most of you will have met our Paddy, he was always knocking about and actually has been here a lot longer than Steve & myself. We inherited him when we took over here at newdowns and he moved indoors with us from living the outside life. He was chief meeter and greeter at reception. We have sadly just found him gone for his forever sleep under the bushes in the back garden. He looked very peaceful and that he had just gone to sleep. He ate his breakfast this morning and went out as usual. When he didn’t return for his tea I think we both knew something was wrong as paddy was never far away. It didn’t take long to find him and we are heartbroken. Goodnight sweetheart, you will be missed. Go join your brother max over the rainbow bridge 🌈🌈😢😢😢

Dear New Owner

Congratulations on acquiring your Staffordshire Bull Terrier. Please find the instructions for your particular model listed below:

Although your Stafford comes fully assembled, due to particular issues during production, we do occasionally have issues with components such as screws. They invariably are either loose or missing altogether. 😁

Mode 1: This is the sleep mode, activated for the majority of the day as the Stafford ages. This is normal and you should not worry about it, just accept the peace and quiet while you can.😚

Mode 2: Anarchy. Although we have tried to ease the effect of anarchy mode, it’s not always possible. There are inherent issues with the timer settings of anarchy mode in regards to there being none. Should your Stafford suddenly go from comatose to running around the walls, we cannot stop this feature.😁

Sunlight: Do not allow your Stafford to stay in the sun too long. They can burn if left unattended but they also recharge. Too much of a charge and mode 2 can be activated without warning.😁

Energy consumption: This has been an ongoing issue as their energy consumption is too direct. We have tried to put baffles, non return valves and diversions in place but none seem to work adequately. Safe to say what goes in comes out, in both solids and gas. The gas, although noxious, can only inhibit breathing of the owner for up to ten minutes.😀

Naming: Your Stafford comes untitled as we feel owners should use names of their own. If you are unsure, we have listed below a few names our owners like to use:

Don’t you dare
Ok, you
Put that down
Why?
Get that out of your mouth 🙏🙏

The zipper: We ask you not to try to open the Stafford's zipper on their belly as this will invalidate your one hour warranty. Rumours that they are merely toddlers in a dog suit is highly contested.😁

Software: Your Stafford is pre-installed with the highest software and hardware. This includes the loyalty chip, the love every one chip, fun chip and, of course, the highly popular mayhem chip. They are all running on the Whatthehell operating system 12.2. Although this has been in circulation for many years, we have found it simply cannot be improved upon.🤣
