What a difference a month makes. Here we have the wildflower areas on the 6th and outside the clubhouse. We are really pleased with how they are developing and hopefully the poppy's will show though soon. A big thanks to and Chris Humphrey for the help in selection and tips.
These areas were planted with a carefully selected mix of wildflowers that will hopefully blossom into a show of colour and pollinators to enhance the area while providing an abundance of forage and food for bees, butterflys and insects. It will also love to catch your stray balls so be careful and aim for the well instead.

An amazing trip out for the team this week following a few weeks of club championships prep. Pirate ships, fishing, sun, sea, beer and the Ringo all made for a great day. Big shout out and thanks to Darren Mitchell

If you have wondered what been going on along the 6th hole and next to the clubhouse then wonder no longer. After talking of carrots, potatoes, bean tomatoes we can confirm none of these were correct. We have planted a new wildflower meadow in the Out Of Bounds area along the left of the 6th hole and also next to the clubhouse. These areas were planted with a carefully selected mix of wildflowers that will hopefully blossom into a show of colour and pollinators to enhance the area while providing an abundance of forage and food for bees, butterflys and insects. It will also love to catch your stray balls so be careful and aim for the well instead.

Has spring arrived yet?? The sun says yes the cold winds say no.
Either way we are really pleased how the course is coming out of winter. Some areas to recover still but the greens are responding well, clean and pure. (A little rain would be nice).
We look forward to seeing you all enjoying the course for it's 138 birthday.
What an amazing Job STC and it's greenkeeping team has done with this perfectly natural and important part of the Southdowns national park and SSSI site.

Something different to end the day today. Following the discovery of live gr***de identified as a MK1 mills bomb when performing repairs on the links the police and then The Army Bomb Disposal team attended. They identified, set up a 100m exclusion zone before preparing the ground, moving the gr***de and then safely performed a controlled explosion 💥💥💥💥.
Watching these professionals work was an amazing experience. You never know how much history is left buried waiting to be un earthed.

Amazing to receive our new Toro equipment, Always are good day taking delivery of shiny new machines that will prove vital in the efficient and effective maintenance of the course. A new Toro 5610 fairway mower, HDX workman with a Pro Pass 200 top dresser and finally a Workman GTX lithium to add to our growing list of electric equipment. Great service and machines from Reesink as always.

Amazing Sky's this morning on the Head. Sometimes we love being up early.
Where the Channel meets the downs it's not all just sea views. Sometimes looking up makes a perfect start to the day before enjoying our almost perfect greens all year round.

Another frosty morning here at the Head. It may not be perfect course set up for weekend golf but it was certainly beautiful at 7:30 this morning.
Not a bad site to work on most of the time.
