REDS Racehorse Retraining

You have to give credit where it’s due, and yesterday it was due. This horse of mine is unreal, never says no always trys and to be honest as a owner I have many times thought he needed a better home where he could reach his potential in this dressage world, he’s won me so much and truthfully, I just wing it every ride. He got his new pads and shoes on Wednesday and he was moving tip top and why not go to dressage on Saturday a mean we did loads of prep… not. Didn’t ride either test before hand, my 9 year old daughter was the last to ride him two week ago for a stretch around the school. Yet he came out with placings and respectable scores yesterday. The thought always crossed my mind of what he would be with a dressage diva owner, but he’s happy, my heart isn’t in it and we will find something else in time, he’s 7 we have his whole life, but when I see him with his brother and just doing his daily life he knows no other he’s loves it’ he just does his thing and does a cracking job at whatever he does. I really don’t think all the money in the world could make me part with this horse.

From coming to me after doing a leg as 3 year old, fixing him up, to now after all the ribbons and sashes and happy memories we have he owes me nothing.

These thoroughbred means nothing to some people but also mean the world and some to us. Thanks Malc, you’re a true gent every day 🥂 .. even when I go skiing down field without the control halter but we can work with that 🤣🥰

Racemaker is looking for a new home due to ill health of his owner.

I absolutely love this horse and if my circumstances were different he wouldn’t be going anywhere else but back with me. Having a new baby 2 other children and my own horses. I’m just not in the position to take on anymore.

However his owner is local to me so I am supporting them with everything they need.

Racey is looking for a quieter life, would be perfect for a mature lady wanting to enjoy haking out, fun rides, some dressage. He has the most best character and so much fun.

This is a heart breaking decision for his owner as she does love the bones of this horse and making this decision based on the best interest of him.

This beautiful mare came to me as a 2 year old filly after finishing her racing career. She went onto train to be become a Polo Pony with a lovely family. I got a message earlier this year to advise she wasn’t enjoying her career and her owners felt she would be suited to a new home. I was quite worried as Havana was down Shropshire and having a new baby on the way I couldn’t really help! I’m always worried I loose contact .. Her current owners assured me she would only go to the best home and they would keep me updated. True to their word and what a fantastic job they have done. This is Havana, now with her new mum Carrie enjoying life. Carrie has advised me how loved she is and a perfect member of their family.
This is exact reason I love finding homes for these horses ❤️
Little Havana is still as beautiful now as she was as a little filly, she really does have the same lovely look in her eye 🥰

Absolutly lovely to be out teaching these two this morning.
I love seeing the progress of Becky and Ruby together, they have absolutely blossomed and you can really see the maturity coming from Ruby.

Rose (Becky’s daughter) and her pony Larry, have also came such a long way, he’s not the easiest of ponies by any means however with all the work Rose has put into him they really are becoming a lovely little team 🥰💗

Good Morning All,

I would just like to apologise again for the lack of engagement on here and the quietness 🙈 - we have a new little addition joining us on the yard this Winter .. but a actual Mini Human version 🥰💙

We won’t be getting any horses in for the rest of this year however we have lots of plans in place for next year and hoping to come back bigger and better.

Hope yous all have a lovely summer with your Ex Racers, good luck in any comps and enjoy making them lovely memories - if anybody does need anything in the mean time please do not hesitate to drop me a message.

This is an advert i have wrote and deleted so many times as my head is over taking my heart 🙈

I’m 30 this year my family commitments are leaving me with less and less time to compete.

I’m looking for a nice, specific dressage rider to take my malc on loan - to stay on current (private) yard in Wheatley Hill.

He is fantastic and what he does and always end up in the ribbons, he will even show in RoR if this is something which you were interested in.

No under 18s I’m looking for a light weight women to enjoy him like their own and enjoy competing him.
He will never be sold either as he’s so precious to me.
Currently competing at Prelim level however he defiantly will go much further with the correct Rider.

Hugo - is on the look out for a companion home.

He came to reds last year as a project as he had been out of work for a while.

I would be happy to run through his full background with anybody interested.

He’s a super sweet horse, easy to do, super clean in stable and has previously wintered out - (not with us). Permanent loan home so he can’t be sold on as don’t want to loose contact
