🐾 Curled Dog Nails – What It Means and Why It Happens 🐾

Ever noticed your dog’s nails starting to curl round or even touch the pads? That’s a sure sign they’re too long and need trimming! ✂️

When nails grow too long, they can:
👉 Curl into the paw pads (ouch!) and cause pain or infection
👉 Affect how your dog walks, leading to joint or posture problems
👉 Split or break, which can be really sore

Why it happens:

Not walking enough on hard surfaces (which naturally files nails down)

Skipping regular trims

Older or less active dogs don’t wear their nails down as much

💡 Tip: If you can hear your dog’s nails clicking on the floor, it’s time for a trim!

If they’ve already curled into the pads, don’t try to cut them yourself – let a groomer take care of it safely.

Healthy nails = a happy, comfy dog
