As some of you may already be aware, we will be shut for maternity leave for two weeks around the start of November (with a caveat that this might move depending on when our baby decides to make their grand entrance into the world). So November slots are already in short supply 👍🏼

Millie is looking s***k and span after her puppy groom! Remember we offer these for free to get your pup used to the sights, sounds and smells of the salon. Millie also wants us to tell you that there’s no point in having a long tongue if you don’t use it to pick your own nose 🤧

From shaggy to chic for Pat today! Pat has his hair done by hand strip, meaning the hairs are pulled out by hand rather than shaved. This technique is only suitable for some breeds and aims to maintain the texture and colour of the coat ☺️

Just a reminder that as of yesterday, our prices have now increased as outlined below. Thank you as always for your support 💛

*IMPORTANT ANNOUNCEMENT*

For the first time in a couple of years, we have made the difficult decision to increase our prices. This is to offset the increase in costs for equipment, utilities and products we use during our grooms.

We pride ourselves on being competitively priced, and even with this increase, we will still be offering services priced below the vast majority of groomers in the region.

ALL grooms will increase by £5, regardless of size of dog or breed.

Nail clipping only will remain at £5, when done outside of a full groom.
Initial ultrasonic tooth cleaning appointments will remain at £30, with subsequent teeth cleans at £15. These prices are unchanged.

We will still be offering multi dog discount of 10% if you have 3 or more dogs that get groomed with us 👍🏼

This will take place from 1st March onwards.

We have extremely supportive customers and recognise that many of you have been telling us to increase our prices for a while now- we appreciate your enthusiasm, support, and recognition of the services we offer for competitive prices. Thank you all 💛

When you’re chatting to your customer at the gate and they mention there’s a dog on the shed, it feels reasonable to assume they are imagining things no?

Lo and behold, today that’s exactly what they saw! Next doors dog just thought they’d clamber up on there and have a little peruse of the neighbouring land! Looks like he’s perched on Pride rock, trying to see where the light touches 😂 Thankfully he was safely collected!

*NEW GUIDANCE FOR XL BULLY OWNERS FROM JANUARY 2024*

Unfortunately, due to the new breed specific legislation being implemented in the new year, we are having to put in place some changes with regards to XL Bully dogs attending our premises.

Firstly, we want to make it clear, that as a business and as a family, we do NOT support breed specific legislation. We are extremely unhappy that we are having to take these steps, however, as a business, we also have to abide by laws.

For insurance purposes, the following criteria will have to be evidenced, for us to have XL bully dogs on our premises

1. The dog must be neutered
2. The dog must be microchipped
3. The dog must be on a lead & muzzled when they arrive and leave the premises. We can remove the muzzle during grooming.
4. The dog must be registered with the index of exempted dogs (IED) and have a life certificate to prove this
5. The dog must have a public liability insurance certificate
6. The dog is groomed 1:1 (we offer this routinely for all customers, as needed anyway)

All of the above are in keeping with the new UK laws for owning an XL bully as a pet.

We know that some groomers have opted to stop grooming this breed. This is NOT something we will be doing, unless there is a change to the law that mandates this.
We will continue to support this breed, and their owners, and will provide grooming services for them as long as we are able.

We are aware that these changes only affect a small number of our customers, but that doesn't make them any less difficult to implement. We understand how upsetting this ban will be for those affected. We encourage the rest of our customers to speak out against breed specific legislation.

Suns out, tongues out amirite?? With the sunny weather coming to a close (all 3 days of it 😭), we are heading into autumn and dare I say it, the run up to Christmas which is always notoriously busy 🫥

After some cancellations and appointments being moved, we still have a few slots this month (listed below) so please hit us up if you want to get booked in!
