🥇Brave patient award 🥇

🌿Bracken was very brave today after she cut her pad playing in the garden and had to be stitched by vet Kathrine.
She was very chilled and enjoyed lots of cuddles and gravy bones for being so brave!
We hope Bracken heals well and is back playing soon. 🌿⚽️🎾🏡🐾🦴

🌾🐑🚜🐶 MEET MOSS 🐶🚜🐑🌾

Last month Moss had an accident on her farm and was rushed in to see us. X-rays showed she had a Diaphragmatic Hernia which was causing her to struggle to breathe. This meant she had a hole in her chest cavity which caused her liver, stomach and other organs to compress her lungs. She was immediately taken into theatre for urgent surgical repair. Vet Kathrine stitched the hole shut while Vet Nurse Claire had to manually breathe for Moss throughout the procedure. Happily, she has been in to see us today, she is all healed and is raring to get back to working her sheep! We were all very pleased to see her doing so well 🐑🚜🐾🐶🌾

❗️WARNING GRAPHIC WOUND PHOTO❗️

This is lovely Jed 🐾 Jed had an unfortunate incident with a quad bike, resulting in a large wound on his neck, right over his jugular vein.
Vet Conor cleaned, debrided, and sutured the wound resulting in the immaculate healing of Jed’s neck in just two weeks. He was the perfect patient, and we’re sure he’s looking forward to getting back to work on the farm.

👁️ Meet Stanley 👁️

Stanley has become a regular here at Sedbergh as he has been coming to see us multiple times a week since September with a complex eye ulcer.

After months of eye drops, 3 surgeries and countless gravy bones we are all very happy to say his eye has finally healed!

Well done Stan, we will miss your little face but are very glad to finally have your eye fixed!

🦷🐝 MEET BUZZ 🐝 🦷

Buzz came into our surgery at Sedbergh for a dental procedure. He had a couple of teeth extracted and the rest of his teeth were scaled and polished. He now has a lovely healthy mouth!

As part of DENTAL AWARENESS MONTH we are offering a free dental health check with our nurses, where your pets oral health can be assessed and further treatment can be organised if required.

There are plenty of tips that can help your pets oral hygiene stay tip top! Keep an eye out on our stories for further tips over the next month or book in for a free chat with one of our nurses.
