I’ve had a super busy week trying to fit everyone in and thank you everyone for your support in me leaving you all for a month 🤗

There will be limited communication from me whilst I’m away, but I will post nearer my return any appointments I may have coming up, as of now my next appointment available is Tuesday 12th March!

Some of you may recognise this cheeky chap, that I post about a lot, this is Ronnie who came to me after a bad experience elsewhere and his owner not knowing how he’d react to me 18 months ago!
At first he would not get on the table at all, and was super super reluctant to be in the bath for longer than two minutes, I was unable to touch his legs and had to towel dry him on the floor…

He’s been in regular every 6 weeks since, and with a bit of patience and only now has he had his first ever groom on the table! To anyone who knows huskies will know they won’t do anything they don’t want to do, so the fact he decided that today was the day, I’m so proud of him🤩

🌟 I’m taking an extended holiday! Feb-March🌟

The Hound Studio will be closed from
6th Feb - 6th March!!

I managed to see a lot of my regulars just before Christmas which works perfectly for those 6/7week appointments for the 1st week in February, but for those who I haven’t seen since I booked my trip I am going away for a month!

So if you think your appointment falls within February and would like to get booked in before I go or as I get home, please get in touch!

I will come home all rested ready to be busy with all the spring desheds and shorter cuts!🤗

Dare I say it…. Christmas appointments are getting booked up 😅🎄

If you’d like to get booked in close to Christmas please send me a message with a couple of days and/or rough times that suit you and I can let you know my availability! I know it gets super busy so I’m going to try fit everyone in as best I can and may put on some evening appointments too!

ALL appointments will be subject to my cancellation policy, recently I have been lenient but please try your best to let me know as early as possible for cancellations or re bookings! December is always crazy, so help me help you!😃

Oh it’s a hard life isn’t it Ronnie😍

👑 King Ted 👑 needed his morning nap 🤗

Zeke😍 as per usual Zeke comes bounding in, impatiently waiting to get in the bath, can’t wait to then get on the table and loves taking the towel out of my hands, playing with the air coming out the drier finishing with sloppy kisses! Oh and not to forget the quick 2 minute Power Nap 😅 it was my “day off” today but couldn’t help having the big lad in for “playtime”🤭

Big Boy Zeke 😍 you might recognise him from my page profile picture! Zeke has been coming to me since he was 4 months old and everytime he comes he’s bounding in, so excited to be in the studio, all he wants to do is play! The session is just one big play date for us both😅 He likes to lick the water from the shower head, eat the bubbles and the sponge. He tries to catch the air that comes out of the dryer, but best of all we have lots of kisses and it usually ends after he’s tired himself out for a quick Power Nap before his mum comes to pick him up 😝

What a character Ronnie is 😅 Ronnie has been visiting me coming up to a year now and after spending some time building his confidence just being in a groomers again, Ronnie will actually only let me dry him if he’s laid on the floor, the table is the danger zone for Ronnie ❌ so… the floor it is! Here he is falling fast asleep whilst being brushed and last bits dried🤩 if that’s where he is happiest then that’s what we do! It’s not about forcing the dogs to fit into the grooming routine, sometimes it’s fitting the routine to the dog 🐾

Today the beautiful Jess and Beau came in for a full summer trim… and a nap after a morning of pampering too by the looks of things 🥰

“I want to be a dog groomer when I’m older” Daisys first time using the salon equipment, bathing the best model (I’m biased… he’s my baby boy😂) Freddie and Daisy are best friends and he was so patient with her, she went home grinning ear to ear 🥹🤩

Do you remember Ronnies last post about his first time here? Look how chilled out (not so little) Ronnie the huskita is now, a lot more confident being bathed and dried! And still time for fusses! This means so much when a dog can learn to trust a groomer again like this even when it could be so easy for them not to!🤩

Meet Ronnie the Huskita! ⭐️ Ronnie came to me, known to be anxious with new people and around dog groomers, he’s a great reminder that sometimes the best outcome from any grooming appointment is that the dog feels comfortable and confident, it’s not always that perfect cut, the best manners or standing quietly for the whole appointment. I changed it up as Ronnie wasn’t keen on the table and we didn’t quite make it round to a full groom, but that’s okay, because in Ronnies eyes he’s come for a bath and a good fuss! And something to build on over time! Have a look at Ronnies morning with me today 🥰🐶

Otis came in for a good bath and trim, he was so chilled out under the hairdryer, just love how comfortable he was having his groom for such a young puppy!😍
