I’ve heard about 2 outbreaks of strangles in West and North Yorkshire. 2 yards are also closed down with outbreak of the flu!

Hard Ground!!

Enjoy the nice weather and the stubble/open fields/tracks but take into consideration the surfaces and conditions looking for large cracks especially in the stubbles before allowing your horse to have a blast!

With the high temperatures recently the ground is starting to harden up!
Please be aware as tempting as it can be, galloping your horses on the hard ground can lead to lameness, Injuries such as splints, bruised soles, strains and ligament damage are often seen as a result of the hard ground.
