This is Elliot, a very brave boy who struggles with grooming. He's a rescue who continues to build his confidence with all of the elements of grooming which can be quite scary for anxious dogs. We go slow and do whatever he feels comfortable with on each groom. His owner is brilliant and doesn't expect a perfect groom every time, just wants Elliot to be comfortable 😊

Hello all my lovely clients 😊 I've been asked by a friend if I know of a loving home for Kenny. All his details are below ❣️

We are moving to a new house where pets are not allowed. He's called Kenny. He's an RSPCA rescue stray originally, so we don't know his exact age, but the best guess is around 3. RSPCA neutered him and he's had all the health checks, plus a full very record. He's a small ginger tabby, with one eye - very affectionate and OK with other pets.

This gorgeous boy is Chester. He's a Cocker Spaniel and still quite a baby, but his coat grows faster than he does. His owner says it's taking longer to dry him than to walk him.
So Chester had his second ever shorty groom, including taking off his feathers, reducing his feet a lot and taking away the bulk of hair on his ears.
He will be much more comfortable and will be a lot faster to dry after his walks 😊

During the Easter break I finally managed to give one of my own dogs a nice bath and dry 😃
This is Chico, he's 9 years old and he is such a gentle little soul. He's a rescue and is still very nervous of new people, especially men.
But he loves other little dogs and has his own favorites among my doggy clients.

Barkly is such a gentle, lovely dog. He is beautifully behaved too ❤️

Monty is a lovely happy boy. But after a very difficult experience at the vets recently, he is really frightened of having his nails clipped.
His owners have done lots and lots of desensitising work at home which really helped regarding touching and holding his feet.
We found that while Monty is still very scared of the noise of the nail clippers, he can cope beautifully with his nails being filed. So his owners will work on this over the next few weeks and hopefully his next groom will be less scary for him ❣️❣️

Welcome to Selston Groom and train (formerly Wonderland Dog Walking)

In December 2016 we moved from Nottingham to Selston and I began working as a dog walker and puppy trainer.

Two years later, I have now qualified as a dog groomer and thanks to my lovely landlady (you know who you are), I have been able to set up a home salon. I now offer appointments both at my home and in customers homes.

On this page you will find lots of photos, videos and information relating to my puppy training clients and my grooming clients. I will also be posting general info about dogs and other animals that you may find useful. You might find the odd post about my three little beautiful chihuahuas, Chico, Linda and Ozzie
