As much as we are all enjoying this beautiful weather please remember that dogs overheat much quicker than us humans. Please walk your dogs early in the morning or late at night, avoiding hot pavement at all times.

Fantastic training session with this gorgeous youngster! Not only did Georgie show some excellent off lead recall work including coming away from another dog mid play (!), she also remained focused whilst walking past several dogs on the lead which was fantastic and would not have been possible only a few weeks ago! She’s a social butterfly operating on high energy levels so this is a fabulous result for her. Consistent training and dedicated owners who put in the work make all the difference! Well done Georgie and family! 🌟

Another fantastic group of puppies and their owners have graduated from their first training course! We’ve had a real mix of characters on this course and I’m so pleased to see that by the end of the 5 weeks even the more timid puppies had come out of their shell and joined a bit of gentle play with their new friends!

It’s so important to give your dog the space and time they need to make contact with others as even a single negative, overwhelming experience can have a lasting effect on their confidence and ability to socialise in the future. Well done everyone!! 🌟

Hi everyone, I have two spaces left on my Puppy Life Skills Course starting on Tuesday the 4th of June at 9.30am in central Sevenoaks.

The course is suitable for puppies big and small from 8 weeks to around 24 weeks of age with no or little training experience.

We cover everything you need to know about your new family member such as toilet training, play biting, lead walking, recall etc and provide plenty of opportunities to socialise in a safe and fun way!

Classes are kept small so I can provide everyone with plenty of attention and make sure you walk away with new friends, lots of knowledge and a happy and well-trained pup!

Bella is learning how to be patient and wait for a few seconds before getting her treat but it’s just SO HARD!! 😆😍 if you have worked with me you would have heard me going on about the importance of teaching impulse control at least 100 times! You can certainly see (and hear!!) clever Bella working on hers in this clip!

Absolutely loving these signs put up by Sevenoaks District Council Official! It’s great to have somewhere to take your dog for a little play but at the same time it’s so important to respect other people’s and dogs’ space. Not everyone wants to play or be jumped at so as responsible dog owners we should look out for children or dogs on the lead and make sure we approach in a measured and polite way so everybody can feel safe and enjoy their outing.

Look at this fantastic recall! Clover is the friendliest, most sociable little lady and loves meeting other dogs. She is full of energy and was lacking impulse control so would lock onto another dog or person and take off to say hello. Being a responsible dog owner, her mum felt it was safer to keep her on the lead.
After only three weeks of training and a few tweaks to Clovers routine she is now not only allowed to roam around and enjoy some freedom on her walks, she’s also showing off the most fantastic recall skills having been tested to the highest degree, calling her away from other dogs mid play!

A huge well done to you both, you should be very proud! 🌟

What a great session with Clover and her lovely owner this morning! They have come on leaps and bounds in the short space of a week and are both doing exceptionally well in putting our training plan into action! Well done!!

Excellent work shown by our advanced class this week! ⭐️ One half of the class is stationary and practices calm focus with distractions and the other half works on their lead walking and staying focused whilst moving around the other dogs. Certainly not an easy task!

Can you believe that this is Bailey’s first ever off lead walk with his owner? We have been building up to this moment by increasing attention and focus at home and on the lead and putting a solid recall structure in place. Look how amazingly well he is doing!!

Look at these big, tired eyes 🥰 This is Ziggy after his first training session at home! Such a clever boy at only 9 weeks old - his lovely owners are working hard to make him comfortable in his new home and introduce the concept of being left alone, toilet training and the crate in a gentle and positive way. It’s great to see how even small tweaks to an already great routine can have an immediate, positive effect!

A rather wet but very successful training session with this lovely boy yesterday! Charlie is a rescue pup and hasn’t had much exposure to other dogs, people or “normal” life situations. His new owners have been doing a fantastic job in patiently and slowly building up his confidence and he is doing so well as a result!
