South West GSD Rescue Rescuing & re-homing German Shepherd Dogs and related breeds and cross-breeds We offer friendly advice and always welcome and accept friendly advice.

We are a small non-profit organisation based in the South West of England dedicated to the rescue, rehabilitation and re-homing of German Shepherds and other dogs at risk. Our team are all very friendly, entirely voluntary and stupidly enthusiastic about what they do. We love the breed, learning about them and what makes them the great dogs and companions that they are. In parallel with this page,

we maintain an open Facebook Group (http://facebook.com/groups/SWGSDR) where we welcome both new and old friends of the breed and freely encourage participation, posting and chatter on all things related to our rescue work and the dogs we love. We are always on the lookout for suitable adoptive homes and families, but in the meantime, forever in desperate need of foster homes to help us care for those of our dogs still seeking their forever home. It's that time of year again photos are needed for this year's calendar. The images need to be of good quality and taken on a smartphone or digital camera photos taken from your page are not good enough quality. I try to include all the dogs I am sent in the calendar so if you would like to see your dogs in print please send them to my email with the name of your dog to [email protected]

south west gsd rescue is ran by volunteers we all have day jobs and families. We volunteer because we love the breed. We answer the phone between the hours of 9am until 5pm if we don't answer and you leave a message we will get back to you. We are always available to our foster homes.

Meet gorgeous Captain. He is a lifetime foster who has been with his new humans for 5 months.
