Farm walk today. What stars all the dogs were. A walk round the farm, treasure hunt then back for a cuppa and a biscuit. Thank you Merrie stud for hosting us. Fantastic afternoon.

Recall.
Probably the most important thing you will ever teach your dog. Have you been that person calling and calling your dog to come back to you, as you see their bottom disappear into the distance? I think that we have all been there. 🤣🤣🤣
The truth of the matter is that what you are doing with your body is influencing their reaction to your call, dogs don’t always like the crazy recalls that some teach, it becomes something to avoid” oh mum’s/dad’s off on one again, I’ll wait until they have calmed down!!” Treats also don’t always work, you need something of real value for your dog, a 2 way conversation.
You need to be brave to get your dog off lead, it’s scary at first. We use long lines to start with ( don’t worry, you get a free one when you book our course) and we will guide you how to use them safely, looking to get your dog off lead when you are ready.

We have a secure field available to rent for dog walking. 3 acres of enclosed land.
A place to practise your own training, gain some confidence with your dogs recall or would just like a safe walk without interruption.

• Sole use for you and your dogs. Max 5.
• 1.22m stock fencing around entire perimeter
• 5 bar gate entrance with additional fencing.
• Plenty of off road parking
• 5 stables to shelter in if necessary.
• Please take your own water.
• Please note there are horses around, both on the highway and nearby.
