Cherrytree Hydrotherapy Centre is a member of the Canine Hydrotherapy Association. As members we strictly adhere to the CHA stringent standards for professionalism and quality in canine hydrotherapy. As a specialist hydrotherapy centre we work closely with your vet who will consider hydrotherapy to be beneficial to your pet. To maintain our high standards and to ensure the best treatment for your

dog we insist on a veterinary referral. Your vet will give us your dogs medical history so that we can ensure we tailor your pets treatment specifically to their needs. With the pool and aquatic treadmill to choose from we can put together a rehabilitation programme that will achieve the best possible results. On each and every visit your dog is given a preswim health check to assess their progress and suitability to have hydrotherapy on that day. Each dog receives a private individually tailored hydrotherapy session carried out by a fully trained hydrotherapist. Before each swim the dog is showered, and after the swim it is showered again and dried. Our hydrotherapists are fully qualified and fully trained in all aspects of canine hydrotherapy. We have passed many hydrotherapy exams including: Benefits and techniques used in canine hydrotherapy.

Today we attended our Animal First Aid training refresher course. We had a lovely day updating our skills, lots of group discussions and a test at the end of the day.

Twigglet dressed as a spider with her buddies getting in the spirit of 👻🎃Halloween 🎃 👻 Twigglet hasn’t had the best start in life, she only has one eye, she is a forelimb amputee and has luxating Patella’s which is manage by having regular hydrotherapy session to keep her in tip top condition. But if you ask Twigglet she would say she comes for the attention and cream cheese! Cuddle evidence in the comments section 🥰 #frenchieandfriendsfoundation

Bella the beagle has not had a great start in life, she was used for testing and kept in a small cage for most of her life but now she has lovely owners who are giving her the best life she can have. Bella struggles with new things, loud noises, being touched and she finds it difficult to settle. Bella came to us for conservative management for her cruciate injury and arthritis. We knew all about Bella before she came along for her first hydrotherapy session, we had no expectation of what we wanted to achieve other than letting Bella tell us what she was comfortable with. Her owners had brought in some chicken for her, we used it to play a little game of throwing the chicken one way then the other way building up to her taking food from our hand then being able to touch her. She followed us around the room checking the place out having a good sniff around, she then allowed us to do a small lift in to the underwater treadmill, we put some water in the treadmill, gave her some chicken, and we decided that as she seemed happy taking in her surroundings we would start the treadmill slowly, and off she went straight into a walk! 🐾🐾🥰#bordenlanevets #nationalanimaltherapistday

Our hydrotherapists are fully qualified and have gained experience by training in hydrotherapy centres throughout England. They have attended the acclaimed Hawksmoor Training Centre and Greyfriars Training Centre and are fully trained in all aspects of canine hydrotherapy. They have passed many hydrotherapy exams including:
