Afternoon everyone. Thankyou to those who have come in to the shop the last few days. Tony and I have decided that today will be the last day for the shop to be open as the amount of customers that have come in throughout the last two days hasn't been worth opening our doors unfourtunatley, which kind of proves we have made the right choice to close.

Thankyou to the customers that carried on with us since we took over and to the new customers who came in, unfortunately there just wasn't enough of you.

Thankyou for the lovely reviews on our page and for picking us to provide food for your dogs. We will miss you all.

Feel free to message the page if you are in need of anything natural treat wise as we do still have a lot and ill be happy to deliver next week. (For existing customers only)

All minces are now out of stock.

Raw foods we have left are:

We have a lot of natural treats still in stock, if you want to pop by for our last few days all stock will be at a discounted price.

We are very sorry to say that unfortunately K9 Butcher will be permanently closing. Since taking over the shop we have met some lovely customers but unfortunately for us the support hasn't stretched far enough to keep the business a float. It is very sad, as we wanted this to work and I know a few of you will be thinking why? But honestly we feel as though we have exhausted every avenue and with only being a small shop with bigger competitors taking off we have come to the decision to close as this is what is best for our family's future.

Thankyou again to those that have continued supporting us since we took over.

Some great information here from Genna Wilson at Dogz Supreme! Such an interesting read for those that are jubious over raw feeding! 🐾

Did you know!!!!

Salmonella does not affect dogs, like it does humans.

Despite what a lot of people think, salmonella is found in dry dog food, wet dog food and raw dog food. Yes, there is more found in raw food because the manufacturing process of none raw foods can help to neutralise the bacteria, as well as the majority of the nutrients they need 😳🤯

The reason why dogs aren’t affect by salmonella is dogs have a much stronger stomach acid than humans, which can neutralise Salmonella bacteria before it reaches the intestines, but can still then pass through their stomach, into their gastrointestinal tract and through their intestines without any issue whatsoever.

Dogs are what you would call asymptomatic carriers of Salmonella, they can harbour large amounts of it and not show any signs of issue.

Don’t deny your dog a natural diet because of your very human brain says it’s not clean, remember, they aren’t human as much as we would like them to be.

K9 Butcher was originally set up by Judy in 2016 after a long and successful career in teaching. I've known Judy for a number of years, it's only recently that she decided to sell her business due to health reasons. I took over the business officially on the 19th June this year. It is with sadness to let those of you who knew Judy that she passed away yesterday.

Our thoughts are with Judy's family at this time❤
