Huge thanks to everyone who came to our stand at Pollen Market last weekend! It was so awesome to meet some of you in person 😊

After working on this project for almost two years it was really rewarding to sell our first boxes of greens and we hope you're enjoying them 🥗

We sold out within a few hours, so we'll be definitely bringing more to the next Pollen in February.

Until then we're busy growing some exciting varieties for the launch of our Salad Box at the end of this month. More on that next week 😉

Here are the 5 things that make our greens FUTURE 🚀

1⃣ They're super local! We farm a couple of miles outside of Sheffield, so you get to enjoy greens that last longer, taste better and don't come with thousands of food miles.

2⃣ They're absolutely pesticide-free. We farm in a protected indoor environment, which allows us to grow cleaner and healthier greens.

3⃣ They're grown under optimal conditions. We take a technology-driven approach to agriculture and do our best to optimise factors that contribute to a better quality crop.

4⃣ They're grown in water instead of soil. Not only is this a more sustainable form of farming, but it also helps us maintain optimal nutrient levels, keeping our plants happy and well-fed 🙂🌱

5⃣ They're the crops of tomorrow. We grow a bunch of delicious microgreens and baby leaf varieties which have unbeatable nutritional value, tenderness and flavour.

Red Daikon Radish - one of our first harvests at the farm! 🥳

These bite-sized tender microgreens are as spicy as they are pretty. Add them to stir-fries, burgers, wraps and sandwiches for a spicy kick.

Indoor farming is a technology-driven approach to food production 🙌

An indoor farm aims to control factors such as temperature, light levels, and nutrient concentrations to create optimal growing conditions for plants.

In our case, we use LED lights and grow in a controlled indoor environment to make the Northern climate a bit more salad-friendly🌱💖. We also grow our greens in water rather than soil. This allows us to use up to 95% less water and 70% less fertiliser than traditional farming, while at the same time preserving soil health and preventing harmful fertiliser run-offs.

Hi 🌻 I'm Gabrielė, the co-founder of Future Greens.

Originally from Lithuania 🇱🇹 and currently a Computer Science student at The University of Sheffield.

I'm on a quest to inspire you to eat more green, both in terms of colour and sustainability :)

By starting Future Greens I'm combining my engineering background with a passion for health and nutrition.

I will be packing and delivering our greens with care, as well as sharing tips and tricks on how to deliciously incorporate them into your diet 🥗

Each week we'll deliver a freshly harvested selection of baby leaves, herbs, and microgreens (tiny edible plants🌱) in three reusable containers to your doorstep.

The contents of the boxes rotate weekly and consist of a balanced mix of super fresh salad staples and unique surprise varieties.

Hello 👋🏾 I'm David, the co-founder of Future Greens.

I'm from the Netherlands 🇳🇱 and plants have been my passion for as long as I can remember. I've spent the past year and a half experimenting with dozens of varieties in search of exciting flavours and bold looks.

By launching Future Greens, I'm combining my background in finance and business with my passion for plants and sustainability.

I'll be out doing deliveries as well as growing greens, so I hope to meet you guys soon ✌🏾
