Did you know that cat microchipping will be compulsory by June 2024?
This means if you have a pet cat (from 20 weeks old) who isn’t microchipped after the 10th June 2024, you could face a large fine.

Given how useful, cheap and easy microchipping is, it’s definitely worth doing.
Here is some helpful information about microchipping:

What is a microchip and how is it implanted?
A microchip is a tiny device (about the size of a grain of rice) and is implanted using a small plunger into the scruff part of the cat's neck (where there is the most stretchy skin and it won’t hurt them) by your vet or vet nurse. This microchip gives your cat their own unique code/number. Your details and the cat’s details are added to the microchip database when you have them chipped, and can and should be changed if you move house or change any contact details in the future.

How does microchipping work?
If your cat were to go missing, the microchip would be scanned with a microchip scanner and matched to your contact details, which are kept on a cat microchip database that vets and registered rescues are able to access. Your cat can then be reunited with you as soon as possible!
We have been part of so many happy stories when cats are reunited with their owners and some had travelled quite a distance!
One cat last year managed to get herself from Scarborough to Sheffield, but we were able to get her home two days later.
Another 2 cats had been missing for 6 years when an elderly lady had taken them in, but didn’t look for an owner. When that lady sadly passed away, the cats were taken into rescue where we found they were chipped. We reunited them with their original owners just a few days later (who were over the moon!).

Just had to have a rant about this !!!!
How long has this building been empty gathering dust ? Now they want to “ help the community “ !!!!!! What happened to helping the community when everyone is complaining about the issues in the area ??? Will this help? Opening a place for people to go and say what’s wrong ? For what to happen?? Probably same as usual…..NOTHING 😡

Please think before you take your dogs for a walk !
Remember your dog can’t put shorts and a T shirt on to stay cool
Always have a shady place for them if they insist on been a sun worshipper 🙄

NEVER EVER LEAVE THEM iN A CAR
