Did you know that Lottie's Coffee Lounge is named after Charlotte, daughter of Kim Bellis-Shaw, director of the Tropical Butterfly House, Wildlife Conservation Park?
Charlotte was almost a year old when Lottie's opened it's doors for the first time on Saturday 24 June 2017!

June is proving very popular with our breeding kestrels. After monitoring the boxes at all four of our conservation sites, we have been able to ring passerines, jackdaws and kestrels. Here is conservation manager Jo, with the ringing team, ringing some baby kestrels. When the beautiful baby barn owls are big enough we will ring those too, look out for updates on how they are progressing 🦉

We hope you've had an amazing Father's Day weekend!
We've another exciting 'new dad' story for you ... our fabulous ferrets joined us this Spring and it wasn’t too long until mum Phoebe and dad Felix gave us an unexpected surprise!
An amazing 8 kits were born on May Day! 🩵🩷
As you can see, mum is doing a fantastic job feeding all the babies while dad is having some time away but will return in a few weeks time!

This Father’s Day weekend we have some amazing ‘new dad’ stories to share with you! 🩵🩷
Here's Morticia and Gomez, our Purple Swamp Hen pair with their growing baby chicks.
In the wild, young chicks are fed by their parents for around 10–14 days, after which they begin to feed themselves.
Our chicks are now 2 months old - see if you can catch a glimpse of Wednesday, Gomez and Thing in the Bird House!🦜
