This is Neave, a beautiful Shih Tzu puppy. Fully scissored groom. We have plans to have her in a full drop coat so pretty soon she'll be lovely & long all over. Really sweet dog & excellent behaviour for such a young age.

I've done two beautiful Standard Schnauzers today, as I have been for 9 years or so. Bro & sis, Boris & Beau. They were handstripped for a number of years, wow that was a job & a half! Clipped these days but still retain the look of a handstrip. Win win.

Hi guys. Availability... My 2024 diary is filling up pretty quick, I've got over 300 appointments in already. January is 85% full, Feb is over half full & the rest of the year has bookings on most days. For this reason I'm gonna have to temporarily close my books to new dogs to make sure I'm able to get all my regulars in.

As for the rest of this year I'm fully booked & have been for a while but I've got a waiting list for cancellations so if you wanna be on it, just let me know.

I don't share many Lhasa pictures, in fact I don't share many pictues of anyone these days! (Other then my beloved Poodles & Schnauzers... I'm allowed to have my favourites, right?!)

Quite happy with this transformation of the lovely Sully today.

I am now FULLY BOOKED for the rest of 2023, with the exception of a few half hours here & there in November (nothing at all in December), nothing for full grooms though. As always I have a waiting list for cancellations so let me know if you wanna be on it.

Also, my diary for 2024 is now open. There's a few things I'd like to say about bookings for next year though...

* I have a lot of you that will book the whole year at once. This is fine, though from April onwards appointments are subject to change as I've not booked off my holidays yet. Me & Natalie are gonna be doing some extended holidaying and dates aren't quite confirmed. So as long as you're OK with that, that's fine. Obviously it works both ways too.

* If you're on a 6, 8 or 10 week schedule (most of you), then having 3 appointments booked in at any one time should be OK. I'm not discouraging you from booking the whole year if you want to / usually do though.

* Appointments can be done when I see you next person. If you wanna do it sooner, phone calls are preferred as it'll all be sorted in 10 mins, rather than 3 days of text tennis! If you do message me about this (which is absolutely fine), then please bare with me as I'll get a big response to this.

I rarely share photos of myself here but I just love this one of me & my girls from yesterday. Who else is loving their evening walks at the moment? My favourite thing to do after a long day in the shop. Me and Natalie often joke about how Javelin has lived in three different decades and Punk 'doesn't know what New Year's Eve is'. Having a 15 year old & a 7 month old certainly is an interesting combination!

For those of you that are waiting for a cancellation / sooner appointment... Please don't think I've forgotten! I currently have just under 20 on my list, and I'm lucky if I get more than 1 cancellation a week. I'm also fully booked until the 2nd week in October so there's no availability anytime soon either. I'm doing everything I can to accommodate everyone, all I can suggest is to book a few in at a time to avoid having to wait longer than is ideal.

If you are booked in anytime soon and don't need your appointment for any reason, even at very short notice, just let me know. I can fill all appointments (many times over!) so please don't feel like you'd be 'letting me down'. It actually does me a favour!

Also, for those that are asking, my 2024 diary will be open from the beginning of August.

This is Lexi, a lovely Border Collie thet I've done for the first time today. My waiting time for appointments is over 3 months (this was booked in mid March) so I really wanted to get this one spot on. Thankfully my 'A game' is always brought, though this one may be closer to an A*. No before photos so you'll just have to trust me with this one!

Lovely dog, fit & healthy (you know how much this means to me), really enjoyed it. Happy dog + very happy customer = a happy groomer.

Also, LOOK AT THAT JELLY! (Peach coloured)...

Thank you so much to whoever posted me this card today (& the chocolates!). I'd known Murphy for all of his 14 years & he was a pleasure to groom, always. It truly is the worst part of my job when we lose our beloved dogs, my god I know what that feels like. Thank you so much to the Hill family for the kind words inside this card. X

I don't get to do many of these so this was a pleasure to do. This is George, a Tibetan Spaniel. He's a rescue & this was his first full groom (that we are aware of). This picture doesn't quite do justice to how long his coat is & it's in excellent condition too, just look at that shine. Fully scissored, I think this looks lovely.

It's approaching holiday season & I get asked quite a lot who I know and can recommend. As I don't use these services personally, I rely on you lot for your recommendations to then be able to pass on to others. So... let me know!

Helpful info would be where they are, rough prices, how many dogs they have at once, etc.

So here's the big news, that some of you already know...

Meet PUNK!

She's a Miniature Red Poodle, me & Natalie have been wanting to do this for a long time & it's been a huge thing for us to decide to do. Our little old Javelin has taken to her OK so far which is really good too.

We're as happy as can be. And thanks for all the messages I've received today, really appreciate your well wishes.

It takes a lot for me to do this but unfortunately I'm closed today. We're completely snowed in here in Whiston, and any attempt to get to the shop is just too unsafe, especially in my car which is awful in bad weather. Please stay safe guys, and all affected appointments from today will be rearranged. Hopefully I'll be able to get in tomorrow, I'll make a decision on that in due course.

Hi guys, not great news unfortunately... I've got covid. Again. THIRD time, not happy at all.

So the thinking these days is to isolate for 5 days. Whatever happens here, I will not put any of you in a compromised position. Not to mention, I'll be honest, I feel horrendous.

The eternal optimist, I'm very much hoping to minimise cancelling appointments this week, hopefully none. I will make a decision regarding Monday tomorrow evening. Everyone due Monday will hear from me tomorrow but I wanted to give you all maximum notice.

Also, if I do make it in, any appointments where I have you staying with me obviously won't be a good idea. For these, we'll work something out.

So sorry guys, it takes A LOT for me to be off work as you know, I'll get better as soon as possible.

Wow, check this guy out! The lovely Norman, a Standard Schnauzer at just under a year old. First full clip & scissor today, unbelievably well behaved. Really enjoyed this one. He is / was a potential handstrip, but it's been decided that he'll be clipped. His coat will still look handstripped for a while though so it's the best of both.

It's been a Schnauzery day, and that's OK with me! This is the lovely Mila who I've had in for the first time today, only just a year old. She's waited a LONG time (booked in August, when I was already fully booked for 2022) to get in with me & so I very much wanted this to be a good one, and if I do say so I succeeded! Lovely little dog, I do love me some Schnauzer! She will now be a regular as she's already booked in until Christmas...

How Schnauzery is this guy?! What an absolute star, not even a year old yet & is already pretty much perfect to groom. Really enjoy this one. Super big legs (bigger than these pictures show, really), beautiful outline, just an all round great dog. Oh & he's called Finlay!

Hi guys, so I'm back in the shop tomorrow after what feels like such a long break! Hope you've had a good one. Few things...

My new prices take affect from tomorrow. My 2023 price list has been up in reception for the last few months so you should all be aware of how this affects you. If for any reason you're not, please feel free to message me beforehand. Also, these prices are fixed for a minimum of 24 months, hope this helps out a bit.

I'll be updating my records again so if you haven't filled one out the last time I did this, or any of your details have changed, please fill me one out.

Cancellations - if for any reason you can't make your appointment, even at very short notice, I can ALWAYS fill it so please let me know. I had an increased number of no shows over the last few months and this costs me money, please help me minimise this! If you want a call / text reminder before your appointment just let me know.
