A day off for me today but a hard morning of training for Nev 💪
Appointments are extremely limited now until w/c 27th May. It's a very busy time for me between now and then, I'm working every day I can other than Sundays so once they're gone they really are gone. I'm working Monday 27th (bank holiday) if that helps anyone. I have a few people provisionally booked in who I will text today, but if you see this and do need one please text me!

I am working tomorrow and Wednesday and then off until the 8th April, returning on the 9th. I won't have my work phone on me during this time, so this is your warning if you wish to book in/ask when your appointment is/get me to fix eyebrows you cut with the kitchen scissors 🤣🙊

Nev and I went off to Crufts today! We had a great day with him winning the RCC which is basically the runner up best male in his breed, meaning he was just one dog away from getting in the main arena and on the TV this evening! I'm sure we will be back next year to give it another shot. He also took Claire Balding's eye and we had a short but sweet appearance with her on Channel 4 today, I think it was the 3-4pm slot if you're interested! 🩷

I never take pics but had a spare ten minutes with this cutie so it was posing time for him 📸

The diary is busy! February is pretty much fully booked, and I have lots of fun plans away from work in the spring where I will be closed for short periods. If you need to get booked in for March/April I'd suggest doing it sooner rather than later! 📖☎️

Just a reminder, you CAN park on the single yellow lines outside the shop between the hours of 9:30 & 4:30 and any time on a Saturday 😁

Happy New Year!

I did say I would be doing some admin in-between Christmas and now but I didn't 🙈 I will be sitting down shortly to do this, so if you need an appointment send me a text. I will look through December and see to those I said I would text with an appointment and remind those who didn't rebook who usually do.

I am back on Thursday with a lovely few days of lovely dogs 🥰

And that's me done! I'm going to keep this short and sweet...
Thank you for your continued support in 2023, I am so happy to be able to call you all "my customers" and love all your dogs so much (quirks and all!).
Thank you for welcoming my mum who has joined me one day a week as chief bather and dryer (and sandwich sharer). I am educating her on all your dogs individual likes and dislikes; they each have a detailed file stored in my head! She did some overtime this week, the diary was full to bursting but we have somehow managed to still make it a steady and enjoyable week's work. Thanks to everyone for turning up perfectly on time it helps our day run smoothly 😊
I am off now until the 4th but will be doing some admin in-between Christmas and New year, feel free to text.

Finally! As promised here's some pictures of the new salon finished at last. A special shout out to my plastic walls, bath big enough for a horse, built in air-con and magic hair/moisture containing bathing room 🐩🚿 It is such a nice, bright space and so easy to clean. I hope you all love my new home as much as I do, thank you to every single one of you for following me 🥰

Hi everyone,

Still some proper pictures to come as I still have bits that need finishing aesthetically inside and out, but here's a sneak peak (you'll all have been by the time I have finished pictures 🤣). Plastic walls make me a happy groomer 🧽

It's been a joy to show you all the new salon these last few weeks. Parking wise you can park practically right outside on the single yellow line between 9:30 & 4:30, plus right opposite me on Greenhow Street, between me and the Asda where there are no lines at all and on one of the many other side streets. Do be aware of the zigzags and double yellows as the parking wardens are much more active here than they were in Crookes! 🚗

It's very booked up until January so get in touch if you need an appointment as it is slim pickings! I am off now until Monday as Nev & I are off to the British agility championships bright and early at 5am tomorrow (our first proper time in with the big boys 🙈) . I'll reply to all messages Monday if I don't get chance before. 🥰

Ok I apologise for dragging this out I had no intention of doing so I am just forgetful and lazy 🤣 Dog About Town is moving just down the road to Walkley soon 🏠 I'm not sure when it will be, but it is taking a while as I want to make it absolutely perfect (plus I am disorganised and have no vision when it comes to interiors 🤣) A lot of you have said it is closer which is brilliant, and I apologise to anyone for whom it is less convenient. But I do promise it is going to be so sparkly and shiny and newy newness 🥰🌟 I will let everyone know with their reminder text when I have moved (including address) and will put a post on here. It will not be before October now.

I am also going to be having a price increase on the 1st September. I have decided I will text everyone who has an appointment booked in at some point next week letting them know the new price, and anyone without an appointment will be told upon making a booking. I've been putting it off for so long but needs must. Increases will mainly be around £3-5, but as always I take each individual dog's needs into account especially with the poodle mixes who can vary so much in terms of time and skill. I hope you understand 🙂

Exciting news part one....
My gorgeous boy became a show CHAMPION a few weeks ago 😍🏆🥳 meaning his fancy pants show name just got fancier. It's took some time and effort but on the whole the judges have thought very highly of him since he was a baby so I had to pursue it.
We are now focusing on a big semi-final he has qualified for next month in agility with hopes of qualifying for Crufts - not an easy feat in agility but we're giving it our best shot 😬

Part two of exciting news is coming very soon, although a lot of you do already know. In case my cryptic post made you wonder, I must confirm that I am definitely NOT with child 😂🤭
