Weirdest day weather wise. Glad I pulled my walks forward as it was really muggy around lunchtime, but it wasn't quite the mad 30C that had been threatened... oh well...😆

This bunch enjoyed an early walk as it meant they could have a good run. It was Polly's first time off-lead on a group walk and she was ace. We can't believe how well she's settled in. She has zero red flags*... she even likes kids...🤣 I do wish more people would consider adopting a rescue as there are so many needing homes thanks to lock down puppies and the cost of living crisis.

*just editing to add that Polly has just chewed up our Frank and pork pie coaster... so... maybe she's not all that...🤣😆

Today was a special day as my newly adopted girl joined me for her first group walk. Polly is a dinky, tan coloured scruffy lurcher and she's ace. She was an unclaimed stray but she's home now. 🥰

Ah hot weather walks... I hate you so!!

I pulled my walks forward on Tuesday and Wednesday because of the heat. The dogs were fab and they were all in moochy mode so they kept nice and cool in the woods.

Absolutely makes the early starts and hours of admin* involved worthwhile!

Meanwhile... I'm dog sitting Penny and she felt the need to tuck herself up into a blanket to keep extra warm...🙈🤦‍♀️😆

*rearranging the walks to ensure dogs aren't left home alone too long, negotiating routine changes with clients and making sure the groups still work in terms of personality clashes, space in the car and group sizes.

A drop of some of the photos I've taken over the past month or so. Young Gizmo has joined group walks now and little Ringo has started on puppy walks. It's lovely to see the young ones develop and be able to play a small part in helping them navigate the world. 💚

As some of my clients already know, we had to say our final goodbyes to our girl, Sally, on the 16th of May.

She wasn't ready, we weren't ready. She should've had at least 4 more years of lovely walks, hogging the sofa and dragging us to the pub.

It's been a difficult couple of weeks, but I think I'm coming to terms with what's happened. It was such a shock as she was, seemingly, in fantastic health.

Ah yesterday was so beautiful for dog walking. Perfect temps and glorious skies. I am somewhat grateful for the rain today though as I know the garden, and wildlife, needs it.

In other news, one of our dogs has fallen quite ill and she spent a night at the vets last night, ahead of an xray and/or scan today. There's something going on with her digestive system and hopefully we'll know more this afternoon but I can't see her coming home until she's started eating properly again. 😔 So forgive me if I seem a little out of sorts over the next few days.

He's not the only one who's ready for Friday. Blimey! Work has picked up, which is fab after being off with a broken ankle over Christmas.. Thank god for HRT... otherwise, I'd have been fried by Wednesday morning. 😂😂😂

Well we all had fun in the snow but now I've got 3 extra dogs in the house coz we couldn't get back up to Crookes. Not really how I expected the day to pan out given how wet and soggy it was this morning. Oh well... hope you've all managed to stay warm and safe today. I've seen some right sights...🙈😬😫

It takes time to build up the groups of dogs I walk together... but it's worth it! This bunch are happily mooching around together - it's so nice to see dogs comfortable and at ease with one another. Sure, there are plenty of moments of excitement too... zoomies, wrestling, playful barks... but I love these peaceful times too.
