Greetings from Lanzarote! 🌞

After a mega couple of weeks of shows, we booked a super last minute holiday and are having fun in the sun (and a tiny bit of rain). We’re staying in Teguise, but have a little rental car so we can travel around. Looking forward to exploring the island and all recommendations are welcomed! 😎

Hello from ! Huge thanks to everyone who’s popped to see me and my top secret WIP. Here’s what I’ve been working on for the last few months, a magical mushroom temperature almanac cross stitch!🩷❤️🧡💛💚🩵💙💜

The stand is full of knitting kits, including some new heads and my brand new cross stitch range. I’m here all day and tomorrow and will try and post some more pics soon, but have spent most of my time restocking behind my stand as it’s been so busy!

Happy International Women’s Day. I’m so grateful to be part of a community that’s full of inspirational and supportive women. I’ve been running my small business for 10 years and couldn’t have done it without you.

Thank you to all the women who have given me opportunities to be my creative self, for all of your advice and for being there during the hard times.

Here’s to making steps forward to true equality for women, especially during such challenging times in our world.

Last week your kits were packed with the help of Mother Walker! She’s now trained on putting together seagulls, highland cows and various other knitting kits.

We’ve got a busy week ahead as we prep for not one but two shows. I’m looking forward to my first , but am a bit scared of doing back to back fairs! 😬

Big congratulations to Sarah who finally achieved her knit night dream and made a cat!

Sarah started as an absolute beginner and knitted her way up the ranks, learning knit, purl, increasing, decreasing and sewing up. There have been a few projects along the way, like hats and rainbows, but over a short space of time she’s mastered the basics and now has her very own ginger cat!

My latest A-Z of Endangered Animals project has arrived on Patreon and C is for California Condor. Most of these birds mate for life, so it’s the perfect Valentine’s release, right?

Marked as critically endangered by the IUCN, numbers are slowly rising through a breeding programme. But it’s shocking to know that during the 80s only 22 were recorded in the wild.

I knitted my California Condor using my regular yarns and some chenille for the body and wings. I especially loved how it curled as I knitted the loops. 🖤

🍄 A year of Folklore inspired knits has come to an end. Thanks to everyone who joined me in Patreon for joining me on this journey around the Great British Isles and Ireland, exploring regional folklore through knitting patterns. 🍄If you’re a subscriber, the vote is now open for next years theme! You submitted so many amazing ideas, and I can’t wait to see what is voted the winner, so I can get designing!

✨ Almost all of your Under the Sea pre-orders have been shipped and this is exactly how I’m feeling! ✨ All the ‘book only’ orders were packed without order slips as I didn’t think printing all those slices of paper was good for the planet, and you know what you’ve ordered! I’ve got a couple of orders left to ship as I’m waiting for deliveries for additional items placed with them. They should go Monday. Any Under the Sea Orders placed after my cut off deadline will be shipped from 16th October. The whole collection will be coming on my A/W tour (see last post for dates). P.S happy birthday to my Dad, who you can hear singing in the video!

It wouldn’t be a trip to North Norfolk without visiting the wonderful @craftroomcromer! I absolutely love Erica’s shop, which is full of crafty wonders, including a selection of my kits.

News from SL land! We have the keys to our new studio space and have been cleaning it nice and proper, ready to make it our new home. The SL team, @allwhowanderbyalicia, @longhairedloki and I will be sharing the space with @dead_chuffed, @sandradieckmann and @craftyfoxmarket. I’m so excited to be in our most creative studio ever! There will be open days, workshops, knit nights and hopefully heaps more online content. 🎉
