A member of the public made us aware that today a momma duck & ducklings had made their way onto Birley Moor Road! 😅 A couple of members of our team went to catch them to take them back to the pond so they could avoid the busy road, but unfortunately momma duck got spooked and flew away 😢.

Thankfully, she was waiting for them at the pond and they were reunited 🥰🦆🐥

Thank you.

🌞 The heat may be a treat for us, but we have seen some dogs (particularly flat nosed breeds) these past couple of days that have needed to go on oxygen and have some assistance from our nurses to help them cool down when they have arrived here. 💦

Whilst the weather is as warm as it is, we would advise against walking your dogs to us during the hottest times of the day 🐕‍🦺. Some dogs do get stressed when they visit the vets, and this along with the hot weather can lead to breathing difficulties. If you think that its too hot for you to bring your pet in, we would be more than happy to rearrange your appointment for you. 🙂❤
