💔 Mrs Tabs 💔

Desperately seeking a palliative care home for this extremely neglected elderly lady. 🏡🙏😪

Every day we encounter an occurrence which makes us utterly despair of the human race. 😡

On this particular day, it was for a cat called Tabs. A cat called Tabs by the person who was feeding her for at least 12 years! And therefore officially her caregiver.

But Tabs wasn't being cared for at all. When we collected her, she was thick with matted fur and clearly suffering.

Feeding a stray cat might feel like a nice thing to do, but unless you're prepared to take full responsibility, just feeding them will be to their detriment. If you can offer no more than food, you need to seek help earlier and not just when you no longer want to help them.

Mrs Tabs was given an overnight stay at SAS HQ before going straight to the vet for assessment. The results were not good! The fur matting was horrendous and her blood results poor. The prognosis for Mrs Tabs is not positive, but the vet sent her home with us, to give her some time.

We don't think Mrs Tabs has very long left in this world if we can be honest. But one thing we do know is that she cannot spend her last months in a crate in a rescue pen. She deserves more than this.

We REALLY need someone local to Sheffield or Rotherham to offer Mrs Tabs the love and warmth she's been tragically denied. 😪💔
