Here at Puppy Steps we understand the importance of having an obedient, well mannered and happy dog. We also know how difficult it can be to achieve these goals with the time constraints of daily life. Family, work and even lack of know how are some of the biggest reasons that puppies and their new owners aren't as happy or relaxed as they could be. That is why at Puppy Steps we use our expertise
and knowledge to free up your time and make owning a puppy as stress free as possible. We offer a range of services from one to one puppy training sessions, right through to finding and training a puppy ready for their new family. All of our puppies live in the family home with our 3 dogs and 2 children learning valuable socialisation skills at this key time in their development. During their stay with us we crate train and house train the puppies. We also teach manners and basic obedience of sit, down, recall and lead walking. The end result being a well balanced and happy dog that can be enjoyed by you from the very beginning.

Socialisation doesn't mean letting your dog meet and greet everyone and every dog they see.
Socialisation is getting your dog used to noises, sights, and smells so they become neutral to their environment. This includes dogs and people.

After a long labour on Friday night into Saturday, we have been blessed with 8 beautiful puppies. 4 boys and 4 girls.
Mum and pups are both great with the pups piling the weight on.

Hi Andy. It’s Ali here (lemons owner!). I just wanted to say an enormous thank you to you and your family for finding and raising/training Lemon. She is everything I’ve ever dreamed of in a dog and we all absolutely adore her! Even my husband 😆😆 She is the sweetest cuddliest little thing and just so calm which has made it so easy for everyone to bond with her. New recruit, Horlicks, the show type Golden Retriever, has had a busy day so far.
A 200-mile round trip to view the litter and check everything over went well and resulted in Horlicks coming home for training.
She'll be with us for the next 4 weeks before her owner cones to collect her.

Teddy, the little Cavapoo, has now been collected by his family and started his journey home.
Teddy, the Cavapoo puppy, wanders around the house, through the bars in the baby gates, and makes himself comfy wherever he goes.
He especially loves to cuddle up with Phoebe.
Tessa joined us this weekend and is settling very well. Getting use to her crate well and enjoying lots of cuddles 🥰
George, one of Phoebes puppies, aced his gundog test last week. Was in a new group this week - eight brand new dogs he’d never met. Totally unphased!
