That's All Folks! (Well, not quite)

Dog behaviour and education is who I am - I can't stay away forever. However, right now I have to prioritise my own dogs and myself.

My own health is deteriorating, and sadly, so is Radan's. He is coming up to 13 years old and has been struggling with his health for a few months now.

I’ve decided to step away from my business for the foreseeable future and focus on spending quality time with my dogs, making memories with Radan and working on the skills I need to work on with Hattie, and of course, looking after myself.

Thank you so much to everyone who has worked with me, supported me, and been my dog behaviour family over the years. Please continue to support each other, make the dog behaviour community the best it can be.

To paraphrase Vera Lynn, don’t know when, don’t know where, but I know we’ll train again some sunny day!

It's Hattie's third birthday!

I honestly don't know where I'd be without her now. She has blossomed into a beautiful, good tempered, incredibly intelligent, helpful little soul who makes me laugh every single day.

She gives amazing cuddles and loves everyone. She is also absolutely in love with Radan and can't wait to check on him and snuggle him after any period of separation. He's less bothered.

She is my constant companion (and I mean constant!), a very helpful personal assistant, and gives me purpose and keeps me in check, because, just like my old girl, Takara used to, she will let me rest but also lets me know when I'm letting the ball drop!

I am so incredibly lucky to have her!

Well bred, carefully chosen, carefully raised, and educated using kind, force free methods. It's all come together to create a smashing little dog.

Update: Dog is now safe thanks to police!

SHEFFIELD S6/S10 area.
There is currently a large, black GSD type dog running loose since this morning.
Please do not approach this dog. Police are currently attempting to contain him. This is for his safety and that of other people.

He has been out since at least this morning, he's covered a lot of ground and has been followed and chased and is wound up. He is likely frightened and over-aroused and has now attempted to attack a couple of people. Please do not approach but instead report his current location, if seen, to police.

As I sit in my powerchair in the street, patiently watching the world go by whilst keeping an eye on my dog who is happily sniffing along the edge oblivious to just how long he’s been doing it, a lady slows her pace to ask if I’m okay. ‘Oh yes thank you, just waiting for him! He has to sniff ev-er-y-thing!’ She’s not the first to wonder if my chair has broken down because we don’t go anywhere very fast these days!...

My dog is happily sniffing along the edge oblivious to just how long he’s been doing it, a lady slows her pace to ask if I’m okay...

You may have noticed, I haven't done the last couple of days of the advent calendar.

Well folks, when I opened MY advent calendar, all the chocolates had fallen out of their mould! So my windows have been empty until I could take the time to open it up and put all the chocolates back in their rightful places.

So you didn't get any either 🤣

Nothing at all to do with me being disorganised and not preparing and scheduling posts in advance, deciding to get fit, nearly killing myself doing too much too soon, and landing myself in bed for a couple of days. It wasn't that at all.

Normal service will resume tomorrow!
