We have a large collection of horses and ponies beautifully cared for in Grenoside, North Sheffield.
A dedicated team with combined decades of teaching (qualified to BHS standards) and horse-care experience with both adults and children. A support team of part and full time grooms keep the wheels turning of this fun & friendly, quality riding stables.
Whether you’re looking to learn from scratch or re-kindle an old love this is the riding school for you! Acres of off-road woodland hacking, a 20X40 metre menage to learn new skills, practice old ones and have bags of fun!
We also run own-a-pony, treasure rides and picnic ride days for young riders and enthusiasts who love to muck around the stables and spend every second they can with our loveable ponies. In addition to this we run pony parties for birthdays and special occasions..
CRB checked, 5* licensed from Sheffield City Council and fully insured so that you and your family are in safe hands.
As well as providing horses and ponies to learn on, the team source and condition ponies for clients to buy in confidence. Under their professional schooling and exceptional expertise you can find a steed for all abilities and intentions. Whether you want a confident cob to explore the countryside on or a pretty pony for competitions we can source the best fit steed for you.
The Boring Bits.....
We require a minimum 24 hours notice for cancellations. Failure to do so will result in the full price of the lesson being charged.
We are CASH only - we are unable to accept payment by cards.
Constant failure to arrive without notifying us of cancellation will result in your place being given to someone else.
Late Arrival
Customers should arrive at least 15 minutes in advance of the event to allow time for induction and mounting up.
We’re sorry but if riders arrive late they may not be allowed to proceed, or the length of the event may be curtailed.
Clothing
Riding hats are provided free of charge.
If bringing your own riding hats, these must conform to PAS015 a staff member prior to riding will check ALL hats. (We have found that some places are selling riding hats that do not conform to the current safety standards)
Jodhpurs or stretch trousers are recommended and footwear with a proper heel. Trainers are not suitable. If you arrive in inappropriate footwear, you will be asked to select a more appropriate pair of boots from the yards’ boot room. You should also ensure that you are wearing socks.
Back Protectors - As of April/May all back protectors must be 2011 standard onwards - anything 2009 can no longer be used as it will not be covered by our insurance.
Child Protection Policy
The taking of photos either with cameras or mobile phones is not permitted without consent from other parents and the Manager. Anyone found doing so, will be asked to leave the premises immediately.
We are sorry but due to insurance restrictions we cannot allow you to take any videos whatsoever of our horses.
As a licensed establishment and an approved centre, we work in accordance with the Child Protection Act. This applies to anyone under the age of 18.
PLEASE NOTE THAT THE
MINIMUM AGE FOR RIDING WITH IS 4 YEARS OLD
AND THE MAXIMUM RIDER’S WEIGHT WE CAN ACCOMMODATE IS 15 STONES (95KG)
