So with the heat being almost unbearable for our four legged friends recently .uk have been providing home visits this week to avoid pavements, heat exposure and stifling hot car journeys. Whilst ball play in the garden may seem like the only alternative at this time it's crucial to ensure your dog isn't over doing it.

•Be sure to keep any exercising at the earliest hours avoiding peak daytime hours (10-5pm)

•Frequently monitor their behaviour

•Provide then with lots of shade and water

•Avoid over-exertion with short throws and lots of recovery time and resting.

•Use hose play or paddling pools

•Try other forms of mental stimulation techniques to entertain them

Over the last 5 years I have donated to dog charities and trusts. Those that give rescues a second chance in life and care for Dogs welfare, Heathland, the Dogs Trust and Wood Green to name a few better know organisations. This time I wanted to donate monthly to one that has an impact locally to me #centralbedfordshire. The National Animal Welfare Trust (NAWT) are spread throughout the UK. 🐾'At NAWT, our main objective is to rescue, rehabilitate and rehome homeless and abandoned animals in need.
