For those attending the IHS Rotherham show at the weekend. I am looking to purchase multiple of the following:

Banana pied adult or 400g+ males with at least one additional codom gene (pin, Mojave etc)

Piedbald adult females 2000g+, normal Pieds or combos with any gene excluding spider.

Only animals for show collection in person. Animals for courier delivery won’t be considered.

I have a considerable surplus of large - jumbo rats. Probably around 500 total. I can sell the whole lot at 75p each, or £1 each for less (minimum 100). Collection from Sheffield S12.

Yikes it’s egg season again! Better make my bi-monthly social media post! Pied combos, albino Pieds and clown Pieds coming from these first early clutches. I forgot to order vermiculite so we’re starting this year with some maternally incubated clutches 🤷‍♂️Here we go again!

The reptile world is changing fast! Retail sales are slow for everyone, whilst business running costs soar. As one of a small group of UK breeders earning a living solely from breeding reptiles this pushes me to branch out into new areas and partnerships far from the day to day pet sales I started with.

I remember hatching my first snakes, setting up my own business, making my first international shipment, and now today sending my first snake by chartered jet! This little snake is a really special one, and will live a particularly pampered life, with transport graciously facilitated by Harrods Aviation.

Facebook seems to give an overly pessimistic view of the market, but it’s important to remember new opportunities are always out there.

More and more of my day to day business consists of finding the most obscure and unusual animals for such customers. If you have something particularly out of the ordinary, be it a one-of-a-kind morph, an outrageously large specimen, a tortoise that can play fetch or even a snake with two heads, I have a growing base of customers who are looking for the unusual! The more extreme the better! I will always have funds set aside for such things, and ensure a fair price is paid.

Seems I overestimated my rat production when setting up the rodent room. I can sell one of these breeder racks to free up some space. 30 tubs, each one houses a 1.2 group. Produces around 350 rats/ month. Automatic food and water. Size when assembled 8ft x 6ft x 18 inch. Can be flat packed but will need a van regardless. Collection sheffield

Another generation of Mojave Pieds. Some of my early babies had some slight grey pigmentation which I’ve now picked the best from for three generations. The current babies look almost axanthic, but are just normal Mojave Pieds
