This Madagascar Speckled Hog is probably the most active colubrid we’ve ever had on display in the shop & we really think he’ll make an excellent pet for someone looking for something a little different. He spends most of his morning basking under his heat & UVB, then he goes for a wander around his viv before relaxing in the afternoon 🐍☀️

Can’t believe we still have this gorgeous girl, she’s been one of my favourites of last years babies since the start, mainly because of how much she looks like her mum!Obviously, a lot of people don’t share my opinion on this beautiful girl as she has been passed over again and again because she’s always been the biggest of the bunch and not “small and cute” like her siblings (She’s got a big appetite, what can we say 😂), but it’s been amazing to get to watch her develop into the most gorgeous deep orange colour 🔥

Beardies at work 😉

Esme has met a new boyfriend this year, we’re still going to be (hopefully!) producing our usual corals later in the year with our other female, but we decided to mix things up with this big boy who we have on loan, the lighting doesn’t do their colours justice but we’re excited to see what babies they produce 🤩

Funnily enough she wouldn’t let him near her in her own vivarium as she was very protective of her space and he didn’t not impress her with his manliness, an issue we’ve never had with RJ, the usual boy we pair her with. So we had to move her into his temporary bachelor pad for the breeding sessions, a move which worked almost instantly to set the mood 😏

⚠️ Reminder that bearded dragons cannot be kept in pairs or groups as adults! Breeding at the shop is done under careful supervision and our adults generally only spend 30 minutes in each others space a day during this time ⚠️

Lovely Chahoua “Mossy” Gecko available 😍

These guys are closely related to the other popular geckos found in New Caledonia, the Gargoyle Geckos and the Crested Geckos, they are however a little more sought after due to their difficultly to breed in comparison to the other New Caledonian species.

This beautiful gecko, much like the rest of our New Caledonian species, was bred right here at the shop.
