What an era ‘Stride Ahead’ our buisness venture that had stables full with waiting list from the very beginning till the very end! Thankyou so much to absolutely everyone who supported us, sent us horses, came to train with us, worked along side us, sent us your precious steeds to back, produce, train and compete.. it has been one hell of a journey and far far to many amazing results and wins to list but also the small wins
Literally every endurance event we attend there are multiple horses we have started/ rehabbed/ trained/ competed.. we certainly leave a legacy.
Difficult decision early in the year to gradually wind the business down and finish up in June, it’s been a tough month of transition but the bigger picture is looking exciting for us and our career within the horse industry, you need one door to close for another to open! plus we will still be flying the flag at the elite end with the extremely well breed talented OSO Spiralling Wind and Falcon Du Roc’h 🐎🐎⭐️⭐️
All good things must come to an end and we always wanted to go out on an absolute high.. our 2022 100% success rate of passes with a whole stable of horses regularly competing including in the ultimate 160km league was a class way of show casing the skill and talent perfected over the years.
Time to close this as a ‘buisness page’. Would be great to have you comment below if you’ve been apart of the journey 🐎🏆🥂.

Great 80km performance formula on a tough course today, firm ground and high humidity with relentless hills, no worries with spiral given his experience and being a tough Aussie horse 💪 but falcon was our unknow, previously a winner on the race track and relatively new to the sport ( today his fourth outing) he’d had no prep outing as one cancelled due to bad weather and last months he didn’t make due to over reaching in field the night before. But given his enviable genetics, confirmation,natural ability and home training we gave him a chance to shine and wow.. so classy and easy to ride, I always remember a very good French man telling me ‘ the best horse he travel like he’s sleeping’ he’s just extremely smooth, rythmical, soft in the mouth settled in the brain, he just show boated his way round! But he had to settle for second place to stable mate ‘spiral’ ( lower finishing pulse but same speed) long way to go before he can take top dog spot over my champion 💕🥂💪🙏

And another one ready to leave the club ! Akala Norfolk Sinrise arrived as a freshly castrated 4 year old was backed and brought on over that winter and had a novice 2022 season with EGB 6 outings to give him a good all round education and a strong conditioned body . Hes ready to step up the distance to take on this years open/ advanced season as a 6 year old with his home team of international endurance rider Nicki Thorne 🇬🇧 Good luck out there 💕🐎🥂it’s been a pleasure 🥹

This weekend saw the coming of another performance stallion as Bahrain born and bred stallion Musananaan Al kazzaz ticked off the last of his novice qualifiers to become ‘open level’. This is the fourth stallion we have produced through the ranks at our Stride Ahead training base. It is not an easy task and requires competent handling and riding and switched on common sense to be a success as often being aware of others and what trouble they may be about to get into is your biggest issue, for example three lose horses before we even managed to leave Sundays venue! But mus held it together very well and seemed to be able to make a clear difference between the working job and the covering job which in his previous starts has been a hormonal challenge for him, recording a finishing pulse of 46 despite a very busy vetting and queue of horses made for a most pleasing performance. Everyone would like proven performance when choosing a potential new performance Arabian so remember to have a little understanding and patience for those doing the job of getting them out there and doing the task in hand, it makes a big difference 💕🙏🐎 and just look at his stable mate Ma’ase Bin Krayaan enjoying the turf he raced to victory on to be crowned southern champion last summer 🏆

Busy Friday for the team of 11 🐎
but the grounds good, the training pace is upto 11/12kph average over 12-15km training rides, canters on the all weather have started, coats are coming through and belly’s are tucking up… the breakers under saddle and no dramas all week so we’re getting there 🙌

Homeward bound with our ‘joint second place’ Novice championship 5 year old boys 🥂🐎💕….. what a dream result, from backing these two and educating them, qualifying for the championship and getting here to the start line sound and well, coping with so many first experiences, we so wanted them to get a pass and learn from the day .. they’ve excelled our expectations and got themselves second place ⭐️⭐️ the horses crossed the finish line upsides each other recording the same speed and finished on identical pulses of 46BPM What a great experiance for our babies ( big boys now).
