We breed a variety of colours and coat types, hence the name Rainbow Guinea Pigs. RESPONSIBLE BREEDING
We have 30+ years of experience breeding guinea pigs and our primary focus is on health a

nd temperament over aesthetics. Our sows (girls) only have one litter of babies a year before retiring at three years of age. Our boars (boys) are kept separately from the girls to avoid over-breeding. We only sell single guinea pigs to accompany another guinea pig. FREE-RANGE APPROACH
Our guinea pigs enjoy long summers free ranging on the lawns in herds together. Then cosy winters tucked up with their own radiator and a heat lamp. VISITING
We are based between Frome and Shepton Mallet. We welcome people to come visit our home if they're interested in buying guinea pig babies. Children are welcome too. Just give us a call on 01749850811 to arrange a visit. We provide lots of advice in the care, health, and handling of your pets. Baby Guinea pigs are £20 each.

Update on the diddy piggy.
He is doing fine, he is still with him mommy, his big brothers have been weaned off, that made a difference as both mum and diddy piggy have regained weight.
Bigger boys are so greedy x

I had a wee baby born.
His siblings were normal size and he was only an inch long.
Surprisingly he has his mother’s grit, she was handreared and so desperate to survive.
For the first two weeks I didn’t hold out much hope for him.
He latched himself to his mother’s teat and hung in there.
He is growing, bright and thriving, he is almost 3 inches now, bless him !

It has been the first time for weeks that the girls have been outside on the lawn.
To say they were grass hungry was an understatement with great enthusiasm they have devoured three quarters of the front lawn in about 3 hours!

I have been absent but only on here.
Busy summer, 8 weeks painting stables, babies coming and going, ducklings to rear, big garden to keep up with and the list goes on.
Available now are 4 boys and 2 girls.
Looking for anyone who wants another baby girl, she needs more attention and preferably an indoor home.
Let me know if you are interested, she is happy and healthy but may, or may not need ongoing support.
All the guineas are in, very annoying as I have a lot of mowing they could do if it dried out, warm is great, wet is grim.
They don’t seem to mind,the elders must pass it on to the younger ones that it is warmer and safer as winter approaches.
They are really mellow and contented.

SCAM WARNING
Please be warned when looking to buy pets online, including Guinea pigs.
A lovely young lady contacted me for a companion guinea pig.
Not having transport she found one locally.
I have her permission to show you how clever they are in taking your money.
She contacted another for advice and was asked to get GIFT CARDS, another SCAM, this time avoided when she called me.
Fortunately I know gift cards are a scam attack!
£50 for a Guinea of is an obscene amount for a rodent!
Then after agreeing to buy, the scammer adds on a vet check charge for another £50.
Scammers prey on anyone and can easily convince you because they have what you desire.
It is easy to pile on the pressure, with very plausible reasons, making you rush into making a decision and stealing your money.
Gift cards are exactly what they are, a gift, therefore, this means you have absolutely no recourse to get your money back.
NEVER use friends and Family
either.
Never pay for an animal you haven’t seen , not a photo, but actually able to handle yourself.
Beware pet “chat rooms” or anything similar (I am not tech savvy).
I have helped this young lady, advised her to talk to her bank, in person and hope she gets her money back.
I am looking forward to meeting her and her lonely piggy in the very near future.
Be careful out there, be scammer aware ###

Lovely summer hay!
If you need a bale of hay or two for the winter months, let me know, it is fresh, sweet and they love it.
If you don’t have room for a bale I will be happy to divide one to meet your needs.
Guineas need loads of hay lol
REQUEST for INFO?
Can you check if you have pre packed hay if it has a sale by date or a use by date.
I have kindly been given a couple in the last year or two and they had neither.
So how old is it????

I have covered the girls with anything I had lying around! Hope they will be ok because I have to leave the first half an hour!

This red tailed kite has been circling overhead. At one time it was a lot lower and taking an unhealthy interest in the girls.

Turn your sound up. This is a rare occurrence but at last I managed to record this weird chirping, usually from just one Guinea pig. I don’t know what it means yet but I am working on it.

When Guinea pigs get creepy! They do this just before dark when they want to come in. They just stand and stare!

At Last the sun is shining,the grass is dry and the whole herd is out and about. Probably for one day only!
