Some grooms are a little more Special than others

This little fellow was very matted and need a lot of tlc - we started with a complete shave off from head to tail, gave him a lovely warm bath and gentle dry off followed by sprucing him up with a good trim

Shout out microphone 🔈 to our team of amazing grooming assistants and bathers - Hayley M, Amber and Amy Without their hard work and dedication to obtaining the perfect coat ready for clipping and cutting the job of the groomer woudl be much harder The first hour of the grooming time is spent bathing, drying, brushing, combing, trimming, nail clipping, ear cleaning and when requested teeth cleaning - this time sets the basis for the groom as well as ensures the dog starts the session in a comfortable manner We encourage gentle massage and no pressure drying and brushing to encourage calm and relaxation on the table Here are some of Hayley’s preps form yesterday 👏 👏 👏

My proudest cut to date ! This little chappie was bought in for a welfare cut as his fur had become very matted and clumped as Unfortunately he HATES his head being touched !! After three hours of tlc - slow gentle clipper work on his body and legs it was time to do his head ! He definitely wasn’t going to allow any form of clipper touching him so it was down to my new chunkers, a few rescue remedy calming wipes and the white noise box for serenity and peace . Gently step by step we were able to take off his abundance of fur to reveal the handsome young pup that he is ! What a week !

We’ve had yet another incredible week Bonnie’s baths and bubbles of Newport with lots of lovely dogs and their pawrents coming in for grooms baths teeth cleaning desheds and nail trims

I really enjoyed doing this groom today - Rosie’s pawrents were a bit worried because she gets very stressed in new situations. However Rosie did an amazing job of relaxing and giving herself into the experience She’s not a fan of having her feet touched but we treated her gently and managed to make sure they were neat and tidy for home time 🐶❤️🐾
