It is safer for your dogs
It doesn’t prevent big delivery trucks (of which there will be a lot soon) getting into the garden centre
And it was hard work spreading out all that gravel by hand with shovels to make it!!!

We have great news!

Thanks to YOUR support, we have been selected for draw 1 of the Benefact Group's Movement For Good campaign, earning the Shelter an amazing £1000! We are so grateful and lucky to have such a dedicated set of supporters.

Last month, we put out an appeal for votes across all of our social media channels and the support we got through votes and shares was absolutely astonishing. Of course this isn't the first time that your support has helped the Shelter receive money in this way and we hope that you can continue to vote and share in the future. 💥 Attention💥
A few people again have been making their way into the field before their booked time. On one occasion today we were in the field with our dogs doing a field check (no cars in carpark). Luckily we saw them from a distance and shouted to let them know we were there. We cannot stress how important it is to please wait until your time to enter the car park 🐾

It is windy at the field this morning but not as bad as expected. We will continue to monitor and keep people with bookings updated. If anyone would like to book before the wind potentially gets worse we have had a cancellation this morning so the field is free upto 9.50am 🐾

Please don’t enter the car park before your arrival time. It’s impossible to see if the field is empty from the gateway. We don’t come up in cars through the day and some visitors don’t come in cars. Thank you

Your local Shelter needs your help!

There is a new round of voting for the Benefact Group’s Movement for Good 2025 programme! The group are carrying out 6 £1000 draws throughout the year.

Should we be successful, the money would go towards ensuring that we are able to continue providing animals like Oscar (pictured in this post) with the best care possible while they stay with us.

Oscar is a 14 year old Jack Russell Terrier who has been with us since December, he is still looking for his forever home and unfortunately has a couple of age related medical issues.

The money from one of these draws would go towards paying for things like our vet bills, which are currently over £10,000 a month while continuing to rise.

We are so grateful for the support that we have already gotten from our followers for initiatives like this. Last year we were lucky enough to win £2000 from the Global Procurement Group's Christmas Charity donation poll thanks to your support.

💦❄️🥶 We have had a pipe burst that runs the water up to the field so there will be no running water. We are leaving big bottles of water up there on a morning until it is fixed. If the water supplies are running low please let us know and if you’re able to bring your own water temporarily just incase that would be great. Thank you 🐾
