Poor Reg came to me today after coming down with sore hotspots ...a medicinal shampoo from the vets with a lot of love and TLC and he was ready to go home again ....an absolute super star and beautiful person, he even braved the nail clip at the end 🙌

I find the most important part of a first visit to see me for a groom is creating a positive experience

A nice safe and calm space
Time to listen and learn new commands
..the rest is history, they soon get what im about 🙂this little chap is 6 months old and if the truth be told he really quite enjoys a good fuss and bubble bath 😊

Another positive experience shared by 'Wilf'

This big black beauty has had a really poor experience with us humans for the first 8 years of his life, but his special kind nature allows him to continue to trust us. He was unsure as to what was expected of him in the shed, he also has pain in his spine so great care was taken to allow a positive introduction into coming to me for grooming. His beautiful ears didn't stop taking in his surroundings but he was a joy and i'm sure he will do just fine with his new mummy ❤️

Not keen on something? Distract every time! ...this time I used the bath with Reggie but it could be a noise or a different position often just turning the doggo away from me helps ...or even moving to a different place other than the scary table ....dogs have their likes and dislikes just like us and communicating them is a natural healthy thing - we should encourage it and work with it together to come up with a happy solution to grooming ❤️ if the dogs are happy... I am happy and we all get what we want 🙏
