Zing!
Zing! 🐾
The reel explained-
A lot of people have asked me to explain the recent reel I put out of Zing!s first time over bumps!
1) Bumps not jumps! No jumping until he’s 12 months old 😁
2) Toy drive- impulse control, he learns to stay in his sit until I tell him to ‘get it!’ Out! Building his understanding of this even when he’s super aroused by the toy in front of him….this prevents me from getting nipped if he re gripped the toy again-a common issue I see.
3) Connection with me! I use a long tug so he can’t practice running off with the toy after pouncing on it! A common mistake I see….
4) Forward focus- I don’t release him until he looks forward to his toy! I want him to be looking at what he has to do not a me! There’s a time & a place for wanting him to look at me!
5) Play!! Making learning fun! I havnt trained the sit, I don’t put pressure on my pups that way, I cue it when he offers it then ask him to see if he has understanding after multiple times 😁
I’d love your comments or questions if you have any on this😁🐾
