We really need your help, we are desperate for 'dog free' foster homes.

Quite often dogs that are sociable with animals outside the home, cant cope with living with them so we are always looking for dog free foster homes.

If you are at home for most of the day and you can commit to looking after a foster dog, with the dogs needs fully supported financially, then please apply using this link 👇🙏

** HOSE PIPES **

Please be careful when introducing ‘water play’ with your dogs .. a garden hose that is exposed to direct sunlight during the summer, can heat the water inside the hose (not flowing) to 54-60C which can cause burns especially to children and animals ... make sure when turn your hose on, you let it run for a few seconds until the cold water is coming through 💦 ☀️

These are our dogs waiting patiently for their forever homes.
Each dog is unique, so please read the adoption statement and if you feel you can offer one of our dogs a 5* forever home, there is a link to the adoption application form on every adoption statement.
***Remember you will need to pay £5 registration fee (valid for 12 months) to apply for any of our dogs, if you don't pay, we cant consider your application***

We had this young girl in a few weeks ago
She went into foster with view to adopt with someone that had adopted two dogs from in the past Lola and Dozer
Unfortunately Dozer grew his wing not long ago and Lola became really depressed so it was thought maybe another dog would be good to introduce.
Things has gone well so now Harley is to become a member of their family.
We are sure Harley will be good and we know Lola will teach her well
Be happy Harley and thank you to the family for adopting their 3rd dog from us

Do you need help with any of the following .. ?

•Aggressive Behaviour
•Possessive Behaviour
•Pulling
•Jumping
•Excitement
•Recall
•Resource aggression
•Separation anxiety
•Baby exposure

Send me a message! 📲📧📞🤳

🔑Behaviour does not change or is learned, overnight. Practice, patience and consistency are key!

👏🏻Dogs do what we reinforce. Intentional or not. Be sure to reinforce behaviours that you want to see repeated

🧍🏻‍♂️Body language is one of the only ways your dog has to communicate with you. Always pay attention to their body language and what it is telling you

🐕‍🦺Ensure that your dog has appropriate outlets for energy. Excess energy can manifest as unwanted behaviours

😊Every single time your dog comes when called, be happy to see them!

🦴Find out what your dog finds valuable. This is different for every dog. It could be a special toy, activity, or a favourite type of food

🐾Your dog is the one who determines if something is valuable. Not you, nor anyone else

👍🏻Catch your dog being good. When your dog is doing something you like make sure you reinforce it

🐩Keep training sessions short and sweet

"Can't take him to the beach for a walk because he bothers you and messes with the holiday... I'm not allowed to rent a house if I have a dog, and I can't take him.
However, I can take him to the rubble to find you after an earthquake, in the woods after you get lost in the mountains and you didn't have neither map nor gps; under snow because you made a detour not allowed off track; in the water because, despite the red flag, you have entered the sea and your life is in danger! And finally ....
He's just a dog, but he will find you.
And he will save you!!" Dogs are family ❤❤

❓ Muzzle Misconception ❓

Muzzles are useful and preventative to keep dogs from engaging in dangerous behaviour with their mouths — and that doesn’t mean just biting!

Muzzles can be especially helpful for dogs who like to eat EVERYTHING! Let’s face it, dogs have a tendency to follow their nose, but occasionally that can lead them astray. That means your pup could eat something potentially toxic or dangerous such as a dead animal, rubbish that’s blown into your garden, or even food that’s been dropped in the street.
Muzzles are also a top choice for dog owners whose furry friends have an even less desirable habit: eating the 💩 of other animals. So, next time you see a dog at the park wearing a muzzle, consider this: he / she may not be aggressive, they may just eat sh*t!

* Muzzles can be used by any dogs (including flat faced breeds such as bulldogs, pugs etc)
* There are different types of muzzles, mainly Soft & Basket
* Don’t assume that if you see a dog wearing a muzzle that they have bitten someone before
* A muzzle worn at the vet (especially if your pooch is already sick or in pain) ensures the safety of your vet during blood tests, nail trims and other procedures.
* A muzzle is also an alternative to the dreaded ‘cone of shame’ if your dog has had an op (a muzzle prevents the dog from licking its stitches)

When used properly, a well-fitting muzzle should never cause your dog any pain or discomfort. While your pup may not love the first time he / she wears a muzzle, BASIC positive reinforcement training can help her / him get used to their fancy new head gear. Dogs are able to pant, drink water, and even take treats with ease once they’re used to their properly fitting basket muzzle.

Here at Oggy’s Dog Walking we are collecting stamps to help the teams at the following charities:

🐶 Greyhound Trust
🐶 Dogs Trust

Recycling your used stamps is one of the easiest ways to support a charity. It only takes a few seconds to tear your stamps off the envelope!

If you have any stamps please can you send them our way as we will be doing an ongoing collection for the above charities throughout 2023 ⭐️

** Please carefully cut away any excess paper, leaving approximately 1cm around the stamp when cutting off the envelope, avoiding any damage to the stamp itself **

Thank you 🐕
