Pesky Grass Seeds!
Grass seeds might look small and harmless, but in the wrong place, they can cause a lot of problems. ⚠️ If your pet has been in long grass, always check them for grass seeds afterwards. Remove any that you find, especially in between the toes, around their armpits and near their eyes 🌾
It’s important to remove grass seeds quickly because their pointy shape enables them to pierce through the skin, enter the body and travel around, causing problems such as infections and abscesses. If you find one stuck or a wound/swelling that looks like it could contain one, call us to book an appointment on 020 8302 1521.
Poor Arlo visited us on Monday due to a sore eye, on examination it was clear he had a grass seed stuck under his third eyelid. He was quickly sedated, given local anaesthetic into the eye and the pesky grass seed was removed. Wishing Arlo a speedy recovery ❤️🩹
Gorgeous Buddy, an Australian Doodle in for his first puppy vaccinations.
He was a chilled out little Aussie, and fell asleep after his tasty treat!
We love him 🥰❤️
This is lovely Dotty after her spay with us. She loved cuddling up with our Nurse Shonie ❤️
