The bright flashes and loud bangs of fireworks can be exciting and fun for us but, for our cats, they can be confusing and frightening 🎆😿

This is because it’s difficult for them to understand that they aren’t in danger when they hear or see them ⚠️🧨 And since their senses are much better than ours, they experience fireworks much more intensely than we do 😾

Here are some things you can do at home to help keep your feline friend happy and feeling safe during fireworks season. But if your cat is still scared of fireworks despite all of these steps, we recommend speaking to your Vet 👩‍⚕️🐾

This is so incredibly overwhelming and we are forever grateful to each and every one of you. It’s been very touch and go this year with the increase of vet bills and electricity costs but this is life changing for us.

All we are asking is for a £1 donation per month. If we get 230 more this will cover the costs of keeping the lights on at the shelter, which came in at a whopping £9072 last year.

This will then mean we can focus all our fundraising energy to support vet bills and day to day living costs to continue rescuing as many cats as possible.
