What a difference a year makes… same horse, different rider! It’s been a fantastic year watching these two develop into a real partnership. I’m needed less and less these days 😂 except when he’s been freshly clipped; then suddenly Emma is too busy to ride! 😝

Romeo is a 13.2hh, rising 10, Welsh Sec C gelding by Glynwyn Matt Di Angelo. He’s done all pony club activities, sponsored rides, as well as showing. He hacks out and is good in all traffic, he’s not a spooky chap, and has thrived on work and doing a job.
He has three, easy, rhythmical paces and works in a natural outline. He’s been with us for some fine tuning and has been piloted by the lovely Amy who absolutely loves him. Jumping pictures are from today and he was happy to plod over a pole, jump a small cross from trot and then step up to canter to a bigger fence.
He’d be ideal for a competent child looking for a competitive second pony, who wants to go out and win, or even a petite lady looking for a classy all rounder.
He’s been foot perfect to do since he arrived, mainly being handled by a 12-y-o, he cross ties, been on the walker, he’s happy left in with a haynet or equally happy to go out.
He’s been with his current family for almost a year, but the two teeny jockeys are a little over horsed.
Good to clip, box, trim, currently barefoot. Open to vetting and available with tack and rugs.

We had a viewing arranged today for Romeo, who we had happily changed the time to accommodate her husband who wanted to come. She then called yesterday to try and come in the afternoon, and then just didn’t bother to show up today, ignored my text and my phone call.
Such a shame as he’s a cracking pony, Amy is really enjoying riding him. He’s a true second pony but wouldn’t be suited to a nervous rider as he’s got a typical cheeky Welsh pony personality, or he’d be perfect for a small adult. I’m not sure we give enough credit to how much of a jump there is between Advanced Medium and Small Tour, for some horses they take time to confidently and securely bridge the gap and Flo is definitely one of them! He’s been so successful up the levels but for a while at least it felt like we were lost in the wilderness! As we worked on more of what was needed for PSG we seemed to loose some of what had previously been secure. In the last month it feels like we have come out the other side 😅 and I’m pleased with how much stronger 💪🏼 and straighter 📏 he is feeling. Not quite there yet but definitely heading in the right direction! 🤞🏼
