Beautiful Jess came in to visit us recently to check her weight ready for her next doses of flea and worming treatment 💛

Jess is a member of our healthy pet club, but being such a young pup, we need to check her weight regularly to ensure we are dosing her correctly 🥰

As you can see, she was very pleased to be with us and enjoyed lots of cuddles and belly rubs 💛

On this day of Remembrance, we honor not only the brave men and women who gave their lives in service to their country, but also the remarkable animals that stood alongside them. From the loyal dogs who served as scouts, sentries, and companions, to the horses who carried soldiers into battle and the pigeons who delivered vital messages, animals have played an indispensable role in the horrors and sacrifices of war.

We pause to remember their courage, their loyalty, and the bond they shared with the soldiers who relied on them in moments of peril. These animals, too, gave everything in the name of duty and in service to those who fought beside them.

Today, let us reflect on the sacrifices made by all — human and animal alike — and honor their memory with gratitude, respect, and a commitment to ensuring their stories are never forgotten. Lest we forget.

🐾 Meet Michaela! 🐾

Although Michaela only joined us in January, she has already become an invaluable part of our team – it honestly feels like she’s been with us for years! 🎉

A graduate from University College Dublin in 2021, Michaela comes to us with a wealth of experience, having worked in a mixed practice in Wales before joining our Borden Lane family. We’re so grateful to have her here – she’s not only incredibly knowledgeable but also has a genuine love for every pet that comes through our doors. 🩺🐶🐱

Fireworks season is fast approaching, here are some tips and advice on how to keep your pet safe.

🎆 prepare a safe space for your furry friend

🎇 walk your dog before dusk

🎆 closing windows, doors, curtains and blinds can help reduce sounds and visual disturbances

🎇 playing music in the background

🎆 give them toys and treats to distract them and stay with them to help keep them calm

🎇 ensure your pets microchip is up to date in case of straying

🎆 you can also contact us for calming remedies such as calmex, pet remedy and other medicated options to help in advance

Manxie the sunflower 🌻❤️

Gorgeous manxie came in this week for her neutering procedure! She was a star patient all day, and here she is using her buster collar as a pillow whilst recovering from her anaesthetic 👩🏽‍⚕️ 🐱 🖤

The breed of cat the ‘Manx’ originate from the Isle of Man and have a mutation that shortens their tail! Many Manx cats have a small stub as a tail but some, like manxie are completely tailless!😍
