Big thank you to Macanne Services for a beautiful job on our operating room. We love how it looks!! Thank you to our clients during this time of disruption. The portable room will be going tomorrow and the car park back to normal.

Work is underway on our operating room. The portable consult room is set up so we can continue as normal as possible.

We are hoping for the least disruption as possible, but looking forward to a nice new room with lots of storage.

Our operating room is getting a much-needed makeover! While this essential renovation is underway, it may cause some temporary challenges and disruptions to our normal operations. We want to keep you informed and prepared for the following changes:

🚃 A portable consult room will be set up in the car park, fully equipped and staffed by our veterinarians to ensure we can continue to provide care for your pets.

🅿️ Please note that this temporary setup will occupy some parking spaces. We apologize for any inconvenience this may cause, but we assure you that this arrangement should only be in place for a 2-week period.

Thank you for your understanding and patience as we work to improve our facilities and continue to provide the best possible care for your beloved pets.

Can you help? This handsome boy is called Toby. He was found abandoned sifting through bins and was taken in by a kind lady who has provided him with lots of love and plenty of toys. Sadly though she lives in a flat and Toby is having a hard time without any outdoor fun.

His owner has made the difficult decision to rehome him. He is approximately 2years old, fully vaccinated and neutered.

He needs a home where he can access outside space, no other dogs or cats and a caring owner to give him plenty of love.

We work closely with Cats Protection and have seen the amazing work they do to rescue, rehabilitate and rehome many cats. Whilst Cats Protection catch up with the masses of vouchers they have donated no more vouchers are being sent to us.

At present we cannot offer any subsidised neutering for cats, under the Cats Protection Neutering Scheme.

This morning, our receptionist found a deceased male entire domestic short haired black cat out on Borden Lane. He has no identichip but was wearing a flea collar. If you believe this to be your cat, please call the practice on 01795 423227.

In March of 2023, the Government announced a change to the law around cat ownership. From the 10 June 2024 all owned cats in England, must be implanted with a microchip before the age of 20 weeks.
It is the pet owner’s responsibility to ensure that the microchip number, along with the name, address and telephone number of the pet’s registered keeper, is held and kept up to date on a Department for Environment, Food and Rural Affairs (Defra) compliant pet microchipping database, like Petlog. Owners found not to have microchipped their cat will have 21 days, within which to have a microchip implanted or face a possible fine of up to £500.
Book your cat in NOW to be ready for the change in the law. Microchipping costs £16 and is registered on a national database.

We have a female black domestic long haired cat bought into us today who has not been microchipped, is elderly and we are trying to find the owner as soon as possible ❤️

We have had a female Belgian shepherd Malinois brought into the practice found straying around sittingbourne area. She is chipped but details not up to date. It looks like she has recently had puppies. She is wearing a black collar which looks like it might have a tracker on. Please contact the practice if you think she is yours.

***Help Locate Owner***

This poor little cat has been brought in after what appears to be a road traffic accident. Found at Bobbing outside the McDonalds.

Appears to be young, no microchip, entire male.

Please get in touch if this is your cat as he requires treatment.

***UPDATE***
This little man is doing well. Xrays show no fractures but he is bruised and swollen so he has some good pain relief and loves his little house to hide in and plenty of dreamies.

He will be looking to be rehomed through us or through Cats Protection. He is a timid boy and needs some time to trust you but very gentle taking treats.

He was also neutered due to having a general anaesthetic for xrays for his welfare and not wanting him to have more anaesthetics than necessary.
