11 yr old Alfie is desperate for a person of his own. He is a happy little man who would make a great companion for someone who needs a little side kick.
Alfie is good with other dogs in general but we think he would prefer to be the only dog in the home so all attention is on him.
🚫 No to cats sorry.
Please email if you are interested in offering Alfie a home.

Bronte & Henry are a pair of 11 year old lab crosses looking for their forever home together! They adore each others company and are always happy to greet everyone! The pair love their food, especially biscuits and will need a calm home where they can also enjoy the outdoors! They can live with children 10 years+💛
They are both being fostered at Dogs Trust Cumbria📍

❌ RAPESEED! ❌
It’s that time of year again where farmers fields have blossomed into pretty yellow flowers, these plants are called rapeseed. Although it may be tempting to place your dog in the mist to take a scenic photo, please avoid this at all costs!
Rapeseed is extremely poisonous for dogs, especially in highly sensitive canines.
Rapeseed is listed by Dogs Trust as toxic to our dogs if ingested and can cause symptoms such as:
❌ Haemolytic Anaemia
❌ Blindness
❌ Damaged Nervous System
❌ Digestive Disorders
❌ Breathing
Please seek immediate veterinary attention if your dog shows any signs of rapeseed poisoning!

Dogs who wear muzzles are good dogs.
Dogs who aren’t dog friendly are good dogs.
Dogs who are lead reactive are good dogs.
Dogs who need space are good dogs.
Dogs who are scared of strangers are good dogs.
If you see someone clearly making steps to avoid you or your dog while you are out walking, please respect them.
If someone lets you know that their dog needs space or isn’t dog friendly, please respect them.
If you see someone clip their dog on lead when you approach, clip yours on too and give them space.
Some dogs don't want to interact with other dogs or people and that's fine. I'm sure you don't want to interact with everyone you see either! They still deserve to have a great quality of life and go everywhere yours gets to go as long as they are taking the right precautions.
Having a dog that needs space is a challenge all of its own, but we are doing our best to advocate for them to ensure they live the best lives we can give them. Training can't happen at all unless we take these dogs into public places. To everyone with friendly dogs, please don’t be offended and please don't judge. A nervous dog can happen to anyone at anytime. Instead of playing the blame game, let's all try make that dog's life more comfortable and its owners life much easier by being understanding 💛

Dog Thefts: There has been a 250% rise in dog thefts since lockdown. This is mainly due to the massive increase of dog/puppy prices and puppy farming.
Please don’t leave your dogs unattended in:
Front/back gardens.
Outside shops.
In motor vehicles.
Make sure they are microchipped.
When out walking, keep your dog in sight and be aware of anyone that looks suspicious.
Never hand over your dog to anyone... no matter what excuse given.
Make your home extra secure. Keep back door locked at all times and consider investing in a ‘Ring’ type security set up.
If you have puppies, please don’t advertise them on any internet sites.
Finally, if you are considering buying a puppy/dog in the future, please, please walk away from any ‘puppy farming’ sites. Don’t feel sorry for the pups, if you buy, more are produced. Instead report to police and S.B.C.
There is now a ‘Lucy’s law where you HAVE to see the pups with mother and pups have to be microchipped.

URGENT WARNING FROM KENT POLICE
Andrew Judd, Volunteer & Neighbourhood Watch Liaison Officer
East Kent Police Division/Kent Dog Lost team
Be aware that there is a new ploy being undertaken by dog thieves. Having a white van with RSPCA stickers on and removing dogs from dog walking owners under the pretext that the dog matches the description of a stolen dog.
NEVER. Let your dog be taken by anyone. Insist they follow you to the vets to have the dog scanned to prove ownership by the Chip. If they're not for real, they won't go with you! I have never known the RSPCA to operate in the way stated above.
Phone the Police at the first opportunity with as much detail as possible and if at all possible take photos of the offenders and car registration. There are also reports of these thieves door knocking in residential areas.
Please follow our official neighbourhood watch group Weald Neighbourhood Watch
