PLEASE ONLY ENQUIRE IF YOU'RE GENUINE, ITS NOT FAIR ON NIDGE TO KEEP BEING LET DOWN, Thank you

Poor Nidge has had no luck , he has been ill treated , homed then returned after 16 months , had to start his vaccinations again then have a dental with both costing our little centre over £400 to get him back to where he was when he left us, then to top it off promised a visit tomorrow for it to be cancelled at the last minute .
There is nothing more we would like than this beautiful boy to get his Christmas miracle of a home , it breaks our heart to hear him cry 😢

On Friday the 6th December our little shop in the village will be staying open for the Christmas lights switch on .
We will be offering a warm mince pie and a cuppa free of charge plus if you come into our shop often a guarenteed laugh .

Lugsy on his walk this morning at Gibraltar Point. He had a lovely walk around the sanctuary and along the sea front. We even saw a little dog in the car park and he didn't react. It's a 10 from Kev 👍

PLEASE KEEP COMMENTS POSITIVE AND ONLY ABOUT NIDGE

Nidge has been back with us 3 nights after being in a home for 16 months and sadly does seems to be missing his home comforts, he has been clean as a whistle , enjoyed his food and partnered up with Anna with no problems.

Nidge originally came to us as a welfare case and had been starved so we are feeling extra sorry thats he’s been returned after getting a little naughty due to a baby arrival , he really does deserve all the love in the world and for younger couples it’s definitely worth thinking about how you treat the dogs if a family is on the cards in the future as they don’t understand all the sudden change.

Welcome to the Seaside Tom 6 yrs old .

I can’t actually believe this boy hasn’t been in a home years ago as he only raced in Ireland back in 2021 and never in this country , he’s apparently been in other homing centres too , well I’m determined the only time he will leave us is to go to his forever home .
Tom is a really sweet boy and very clean too , at 6 yrs old he so deserves some home comforts now don’t you think ?

Unfortunately Nidge 5 yrs old will be coming back into our care on Monday after being in a home for the past 16 months , we are not going into reasons but will speak to potential new adopters so please no negative comments just plenty of shares in the hope he doesn’t have to be in kennels for too long.

He is a very handsome boy who we feel would be happy on his own or with others .

Yesterday 6 yr old Dawn went into the village and loved all the cuddles and attention she got . This girl will simply make a great companion and would be good for a more mature person or equally would easily fit into a family wanting to add another dog . Whilst we were out yesterday we did see a cat which made her ears prick up but no pulling or barking she is just so easily manageable. Dawn has really changed since coming into our care and got more confidence as she was a little withdrawn at first. Please share this post and let’s get this beauty the home she truly deserves 💙💛

Paddy 2

Paddy 2 has been out & about in Burgh le Marsh today exploring & visiting friends. He jumped into the van as soon as the doors were opened & enjoyed every minute of his afternoon out. He came across cats, squirrels, small dogs, screaming children, noisy tractors & trailers and took everything in his stride. He wasn’t scared of the unusual noises. He didn’t bark at the other dogs he just wanted to say hello. He didn’t try & chase the cat but he was quite interested to see it - his ears pricked up & he was definitely on his toes as he passed it. Paddy was super good with all the humans he met. He walked beautifully on his lead & handled everything with a cool calm confident manner. He is a beautiful greyhound & is fabulous to be around. I hope someone will consider giving paddy 2 a home - he is such a good boy ❤️

Gloria & Vinnie

We recently homed Gloria & Tango ( now Vinnie ) . If you follow our page you will know Gloria was VERY shy and needed that special home and she has certainly found it , her adopters met her several times before she left us and she is doing so well and being very brave , they are giving her all the time and space she needs , we know she will go from strength to strength also she has Vinnie who settled instantly 😂😂 We look forward to seeing your adventures 💛💙

Seaside Greyhounds

Seaside Greyhounds is a newly independent homing centre for the UKs retired racing greyhounds. Launched in 2020, we are dedicated to playing their part in ensuring that 100% of retired greyhounds find that loving forever home and comfortable sofa to sleep on.

Jenny & Kev, the founders of Seaside Greyhounds, were introduced to greyhounds in January of 2016 and have been involved in the homing of retired greyhounds since January of 2019. Following a move to the coast, they opened up a branch of the Greyhound Trust, giving up their careers in the process, and have since homed dozens of greyhounds throughout the UK, building a close-knit community to boot.

Life would be more difficult though without the help of the dedicated volunteers that have been supporting us throughout, and the generous donators across the country who want nothing but the best for these dogs.
