You may be surprised to know that stay overs aren't just for dogs, I do them with some of my adorable cat friends too 🐱🥰 Cats can generally be more independent than dogs and some don't mind having drop-in visits and enjoying the peace and quiet. Others really miss human company, snuggles and play time etc when their pawrents are away and that's when staying overnight with them can be really beneficial.

I recently had a couple of stayovers with the handsome Rogue and gorgeous ChiChi. Rogue is approximately 18 years old and has Diabetes and Hyperthyroidism, which requires insulin injections twice daily and thyroid tablets and his younger "sister" just craves human company and attention, so the stay overs worked out brilliantly for both 🤩

What an adorable pair they are and I absolutely adore them both ❤️ 💕

Such a fantastic time with Sooky today at Burt's Haven - Freedom Field Wrangle

Sooky is such an anxious boy - he gets worried by new people and other dogs very easily, so to be able to run off lead and be care-free in a secure environment was great for him.

He went from being frightened of the paddling pool and not daring to dip a toe... to laying flat out in it in true Spaniel style 🥰 Such a loving, adorable, sweet, fun boy ❤️

Had the loveliest week off to celebrate my birthday with all my faves 🥰 Of course my little Reg was involved in it all - from my nieces coming to stay (he lapped up all the attention 🤗), to then heading up North to the absolutely stunning Holy Island for a few days stay over in a cabin. He just loves to be out and about and involved in whatever is going on and adores his holidays and being together 😎❤️

We have had a few cases of mycotoxin poisoning recently. Its not a poisoning that folks are generally familiar with, so we thought we'd share the information to raise awareness.-

Ingestion of mouldy food from the bin or a compost pile puts dogs, cats, horses, livestock, and even wildlife at risk for toxicity due to tremorgenic mycotoxins. These toxins may be found in MOULDY bread, pasta, cheese, nuts, or other decaying matter like compost. Clinical signs include vomiting, agitation, incoordination, tremors, seizures, and elevated body temperature. A specific mycotoxin called aflatoxin can even cause liver failure. Be sure to keep mouldy food and compost out of your pets reach!

Shout out to another local small business 👏.... my partner Paul's Big tree people who went to Stickney Primary School today and cut a tree down and helped with their garden area, all free of charge. How cute are all the children chanting "chop it down" 🥰

Stay overs this past weekend with these absolute cuties, Alice and Archie! My goodness, they are so adorable, comical, cheeky, playful and loving 😍🥰 They're honestly like a double act and a pair of cheeky toddlers, but so different in personality. Definitely kept me on my toes 🤪 and I had so much fun and gorgeous cuddles ❤️

Sooky's first trip to Snipe Dales today... bit further afield, but it's a bit cooler there under the trees and he had a little paddle in the lovely little stream and then he had some frozen kibble for his lunch when we got back 🥰 Think he enjoyed himself ❤️

The ladder of communication is such a useful tool to be aware of and a reminder to always listen and be respectful of what our dogs are trying to tell us.

These behaviours are their way of communicating and if ignored, or even worse, challenged 😔, they will step up the ladder until they reach a behaviour that gets the undesirable or frightening scenario to stop.

Always listen and try and help them out and diffuse the situation by showing kindness and trying to understand their feelings behind a behaviour instead 💗

With children and pets spending more time together over the summer holidays, it's super important to watch dogs closely and listen to their body language ⚠️

Dogs' stress signals often get misunderstood or missed, with some owners not realising their dog is unhappy until they growl, snap or even bite.

The canine ladder of communication is a useful guide, showing the different signals dogs show through their body language to communicate. As a dog gets more upset, their body language may change according to the steps on the ladder 🚦

It’s important to note that all dogs are different - not every dog will show every behaviour on the ladder and might not follow the same order.

Just had the most wonderful few nights of stayovers with this absolutely beautiful, adorable, loving boy, Winston ❤️

He's TOTALLY amazing and the sweetest soul you could wish to meet. I'm so lucky I get to be around amazing animals every day 🤗

We love taking Reg to the local secure freedom fields, so he can have a run off and explore without the need of a lead, all in a completely safe environment. He particularly loves Burt's Haven - Freedom Field Wrangle and yesterday we tried out the new Huttoft Hounds and loved it too. Both fields are really big, fully secure, so well thought out and have something to suit every dog's needs and likes; with different activites and areas to explore.

If you haven't already, give them both a try for a fun filled walk with your gorgeous doggies ❤️

My little Reg was at the vets for a general anaesthetic and dental today.... 7 teethies out in total and he's happy to be back home recovering. Lots of rest, warm blankies and Mummy snuggles and he's bouncing back really well 🥹❤️ He's even just started playing with his Bumble bee toy 🥰

So grateful to Lincs Veterinary Solutions for letting me stay with him for his pre-med injection and whilst he got sleepy and then sit with him whilst he came round from the anaesthetic too 🙏 Reg is such an anxious boy in a veterinary setting and this meant he had me there to help his confidence and give him the reassurance and support he needed and he didn't need to stay at the vets for any longer than necessary.

What a little trooper he is 🤩

I thought I'd died and gone to heaven recently when I went to meet a home where 16 dogs live together!!!! 🤯😍

Safe to say it was love at first sight from me with all of them and I quickly got to work trying to learn all of their names and their personalities and quirks 🥰🤩 They are all so individual and unique, but all live in harmony with each other and have such a loving bond. There even have Chicken and Cockerell siblings 🐓

Stayovers with this fabulous gang will certainly keep me busy 😆
