Hi everyone! My name is Jessie! I’m 5 years old and a proud survivor of the Korean meat trade 🥺

A couple of months ago I packed my suitcase, put on my brave girl pants, and travelled 5000 miles across the world to a place called Many Tears. I’ve been here for over 2 months now and I have to say, it’s not half bad. In my old life I spent years in a floating crate, with no comforts or anything to call my own. Now, I have 2 big beds with duvets, toys, food on demand, and lots of kennel mums and dads who are very lovely to me. I go on walks every day, I’ve discovered tennis balls (and I love them!!!!), and I’m starting to enjoy love and affection from humans too 🥰

A couple of weeks ago my main kennel mum told me to pack my bags again because she thought it was going to be my last night at the rescue. You see, some people applied to adopt me so I was finally going to start the rest of my life! But when they came to meet me, they didn’t want to take me … maybe I didn’t shine bright enough for them 😔

Yesterday, my kennel mum told me again that it could possibly be my last night at the rescue as somebody else wanted to meet me. I tried not to get my hopes up because of what happened last time, but I couldn’t help myself … I’ve been dreaming of a warm home to call my own. So this morning I put some perfume on and got myself ready for the meet. I’m writing this as I’m sat in my kennel because they didn’t like me enough again. Oh well 😢

I do try my hardest, but I am still a shy girl. I promise I’m getting better and better, especially with people I spend a lot of time with, but strangers can sometimes be scary for me!!

I would love a calm and quiet forever home where I’m the only dog, and my new family have lots and lots of time and patience for me. It may take me a little while to settle in and start to enjoy life, but please don’t give up on me. I have a big heart with a lot of love to give, just in my own little way. Give me a chance and I promise I’ll show you 😇❤️
