Many companies class repair as simply opening up the box and putting in a new circuit board and then handing this back to

the customer at a huge cost. This is like replacing your car every time it needs something as small as a new tyre. We actually repair the faulty circuit board, diagnosing the faulty components and replacing them, and then handing the repaired, now fully working and tested device back to the customer at a vastly cheaper price than the companies that just swap the board over.

These two electric fence energisers were posted into me for repair. Both were not discharging and both had SCR and capacitor issues. Once the faulty parts had been replaced they were both then back working once again and ready to return to the customer.

Today this electric fence energiser was sent in and it won’t discharge at all. This is usually due to a bad SCR or part of that circuit. In this case the SCR and the driving transistor were bad.

Something a little different to the norm today. I also do general electronics repair, so can repair a lot of things that have faults and not just micro elect...
