I recently undertook a course in Forensic Psychology., Does this mean I can call myself a forensic psychologist and look for employment in this field? Of course not and yet there are those who do one little course on dog behaviour and believe they are now qualified to be a canine behaviourist!

Do your research. Find out what and where they studied, where they learned practical skills, look for recommendations and above all, if you don't feel comfortable with what they are doing to your dog, you can be sure your dog wont feel comfortable either!

Good evening all our great customers

As you all know we work very hard for rescues hence us shutting to door to new customers and just keeping our existing customers/regulars. Due to this and the rising costs of using card machines we have had to make the decision to take away our card machine and only except payment in cash as of 13/12/2024. I know this may cause a little inconvenience and we do apologise but it is the right move for our kennels when so many animals are not being taken care of in the right way. We totally understand if you would rather take your lovely animals elsewhere and would appreciate you letting us know if you would like to cancel your booking.

ITS THAT TIME OF THE YEAR AGAIN. HASNT IT GONE QUICKLY.

These are our open times over Christmas. Book early to avoid disappointment as we are filling our diary extremely quickly.

Good evening everyone

Hope all your animals are good.

Just a reminder for animals coming in and leaving on bank holidays. They are normal hours. So for example tomorrows bank holiday Monday the 26th August our open times are
8:30-10:30 and 3-5

It may also be worth reminding everyone our open hours are
8:30-10:30 3 - 5
Monday to Saturday

9:30-10:30 and 3-4
Sundays

Please stick to these hours as there has been a couple of times recently where people just turn up randomly. We ask people stick to the times above for several reasons but the mains ones are we excercise dogs during our shut hours and insurance. So from now on we will not be excepting animals in or out during close hours.

JUST A FRIENDLY REMINDER, WE WILL ONLY TAKE DOGS AND CATS THAT ARE UP TO DATE ON VACCINATIONS AND KENNEL COUGH. WE ALSO REQUIRE YOU TO BRING YOUR VACCINATION CARD IN WITH YOU ON EVERY HOLIDAY WITH US. THIS IS TO PROTECT YOUR ANIMAL AND EVERYONE ELSES.

WE ARE ONLY 4 WEEKS INTO 2024 AND HAVE ALREADY TURNED AWAY CUSTOMERS THIS YEAR THAT EITHER THE ANIMALS VACCINES ARE NOT UP TO DATE OR THEY DONT HAVE PROOF WITH THEM.

XL BULLIES IN A17 KENNELS

For us to accept XL Bullies into our kennels you must produce your Certificate of Exemption, be muzzled and neutered we cannot accept any XL without this.
If we have any reason to question if your dog is an XL bully we have the right to refuse you our services. We are sure this is not going to happen but we have to act according to law.

We are an XL friendly kennel and love the breed. We want to work with owners to help them be able to keep there dogs and still be able to go on holiday etc.

WHO KNEW?

The company founder, Joe Markham, created the KONG product in the 1970s, when he noticed his German shepherd Fritz damaging his teeth by chewing rocks. He found that Fritz enjoyed chewing on a hard rubber Volkswagen Bus suspension device, and spent about six years experimenting with different compounds to produce a chew toy of similar size and shape that he could sell to pet owners. A friend commented that the toy looked like "an earplug for King Kong"—hence its name.[1] Originally, Markham sold most of his products to Israel, Japan, Australia and the United Kingdom, but the KONG began a rise in sales in the United States in the mid-1980s, and has remained popular there subsequently.[2] The book Planet Dog: A Doglopedia (2005) describes the KONG as "possibly the best-known dog toy in the world".[3]

Zandamor happy (poppy) father Zandamor Franco x mother fee von bad boll passed her zap test this morning. Thank you to Shirley Hutchinson for judging and great write up and helpers for organising a extremely well ran zap test. It’s thanks to you guys and a few others that we can run these tests in our home country. Also thank you to Craig Rice and Hazel Docherty for letting us have such a super girl.

Main thanks though goes to Kayleigh Hoult and Carter Hoult who have really helped us with this.
